Sure was a windy bugger...Gusting up to 30 mph, white caps galore!
Coming straight out of the East, if ya know the way the lake lays, the waves were coming straight into the landing. It was tough un-loading and loading....
But worth it!
We tried a little trolling at first, but boat control was tough.
Then tried to drift with some crawlers....to fast, forgot the sock!
So we just did some casting around the islands....and bingo! The pike were hungry!
We casted yellow heavy spinner baits and white as well...all of the fish we caught were nice fish!
All fish were in the slot that had to be released 24-36 (must be returned)
We even smacked a few Wallies that had to be released cause they was in the slot too!
(18-24)

Lots of panfisher people out....saw plenty of them fishing the protected areas, bringing in crappies and sunfish. We stopped and talked to one guy, and they were doing well just with a bobber, crappie minnows and a plain hook.

We fished until noon, got a burger at the bar...........then headed to West Rush, I'll post a report for that one as well.

Here's a pic of my 34" caught on Knife....
And, as you can tell by the camo, (I even wear camo to church) this is how I got my nickname............. ;D
