I saw your question and yes you can cull your own deer but only for yourself.  For example, if one of you gets skunked but the other gets a doe and the elusive 30 pointer, he cannot give you the points for either of those deer and he can only claim points for the 30 pointer.  Sound good?

Okay team, I am heading out Friday to drive to MN.  I will be hunting Saturday of opener to the following Saturday.  I can't wait for the weekend to get here.  It's time to add some more points to our score.

Yes.  It is his first year deer hunting.  He has been up several times to go scouting and built stands.  This is the first year upgraded from the bb gun.

Tuff weekend but I will still be hunting thursday-sunday...........  How many points for tracking one for 2.5 miles and not finding it                          Lost one on sunday nite to a corn field, the woods, a swamp, corn field#2, hay field, Co Hwy, and the list keeps going.  We spent 8 hours looking for that deer before the track went cold.  This will be the first deer I have never found and It sucks,  but like I have told other hunters that is a part of the game.......
Congrats on the doe dennis and I WILL FILL A TAG THIS WEEK.

Sorry about that; I know how you feel.  After 8 hours, you can say you tried.  That's a lot more than most folks would put in.  So no points for it but for all the effort, I'll give ya one of these

If you shoot it, it counts.  Anyone from your hunting party can tag the deer that you shoot and it will still count for this contest.

Congrats Ben!  You will have to join the contest next year.  Post a new topic in the big game forum and tell us the story behind your successful hunt.  Include a picture too.  We all like to hear about a successful hunt.

well team I am going after the big one from friday-sunday...................  I hope to put or team in first place.  With plenty of big deer in the area it may just happen,  or I will get alot of tie breakers.     Lets go out and finish this season with a bang or a thawk.

I have a doe tag for the Black Hills yet to fill.  I will be going out tomorrow with my son and a buddy.  My hope is that my 12 year old will get an opportunity to shoot his first deer.  Wish us luck!
