Over the years, here on MNO there has been a lot of camp pics posted. However, I thought I would start a tread just for the 2008 camps.

Feel free to post your pics here along with an old camp pic if you want to show the changes over the years.

Short stories are good as well!

No promises, But after the gun season is over I will get with some of the staff and maybe we could do a featured 2008 MNO DEER CAMP PIC OF THE YEAR   along with your camp story.

PHOTO TIPS TO THINK ABOUT

  • PUT IN AS MANY CAMP MEMBERS AS POSSIBLE
     (ESPECIALLY THE KIDS)

  • TRY TO BE IN YOUR HUNTING CLOTHES

  • HAVE YOUR WEAPONS OF CHOICE IN THE PIC

  • WEAR MNO HATS IF YOU HAVE THEM

  • DEER HANGING NEXT TO OR BEHIND HUNTERS

  • CLEAN UP THE BLOOD AND TUCK IN TOUNGES

OVER ALL FAMILY FRIENDLY PHOTOS No smokes and booze in the pic. Think of the kids
and who we want our future hunters to be.

MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!!!

since nobody has done this yet i figure ill be the first.

this dosnt meet the requirements but these are the two deer we got from our "camp" this year we had another 10 but we never found it.

all it takes is selective harvest, if you want ill add our trophy wall and show you the progress we have made in the last few years.

Here is our deer camp 2008.  I have a small travel trailer there but we are outside from 6 AM till 6 PM.  Because there are more of us than fit in a small trailer, we stay at my brothers house about 18 miles away.  Also, this is about 1.5 miles from the nearest road and does not have electricity or running water.  Closest thing to creacher comfort is an outhouse. :rotflmao:

I couldn't post the views but here is the Boo Boo that my little bro got.  It took me about 10 tries to get the picture because he knows it will be very hard to live down.

Here is a couple of pics from our deer camp.  We went 3 for 6 this year, all on opening day.  Two 10 pointers and a 8 pointer.  It was definetly a winter wonderland!

heres me with the buck I got second weekend... I walked out at 9:30 because my brothers buddy said he was only sitting until then. so I walked out he was gone and my brother was still in his stand.. so I walked back into another stand that is right by the road. sat in my sister in laws stand which is only 6 feet off the ground. I ate some nasty tasting jerky (think it was in my bag from last year) so as I scrubbed my tounge with a few chips ahoy and girgled coke.. I see a doe to my right walking down the trail I just walked in on.. so I pulled up the gun, still chewing the cookie.. scoped her out and looked behind her to see this guy walking up on her. it all took about 3 minutes. shot him at 10:15 (dropped in his tracks with a 7mm). the doe stood there for a second but I didn't take my scope off of him, can never be too sure.

Here is a couple pics from deer camp.
These pics are of a Ford f250 that made it down the 1 1/2 miles of non-maintained road only to get stuck in our "parking Lot" that was turned into a lake LOL

2 chevy pulled it out
We did not try for the first day and when we did the "lake " had froze and the Ford would not start !
Unhooked the trailer and dropped the tongue on some logs yanked the truck out put the strap around the trailer tongue had everyone (9 guys ) stand on the back of the trailer to keep the tongue up and dragged that out too

took about 2 hrs  :happy1:

Yikes! That vehicle (and trailer) is desperately in need of a Faw-kinn-ae bumper sticker!
