I own a 2005 BOWTECH OLD GLORY.

this is the greatest bow in my opinon(to each his own right) it is set at 70lbs and 31 inch draw. i am suppose to shoot at 29 1/2 inch draw but i like having the little extra room(its more comfortable) i shoot Gold tip expiditions tipped with a muzzy broadhead

anyways what does everyone else shoot??

do you prefer compound over traditional??

what kind of arrows do you use??

whats your broadhead of choice??

I am shooting a Mathews Switchback at 65 lbs and am using slick trick 85 grain broadheads on carbon express weight forward arrows. I like the bow a lot I did not realize how much vibration was in my old High country until I shot this one. The one other add on I really like having on this bow from my past bows is the ultra rest drop away rest.

I have to say I like the compound because they shoot more consistant.

Right now I do not own one. My bow was stolen last summer and this past season I used my cousins Hoyt. I'll be buying new in a month or two. Looking at everything.

I  have a old BowTech extreme and PSE for an extra Bow when i'm out of state, and a 2008 BowTech Allegiance for mu main bow.
I use maxima hunter 250 carbon arrows with muzzy 100 broadheads.
I shoot at 60 lbs. 60 lbs with the allegiance is great for ground blinds and does not loss to much.
It's dead on at 60 yards.  :archery:

I use this same set up for Turkey, bear and deer. :green archer:

I recently bought the Mathews Reezen 6.5 set at 65lbs, and decided to go with the G5 optics xr sight, the Vapor Trail Limb Driver fall away rest, Carbon Express Maxima 350 arrows w/ G5 strikers and or NAP spitfire xp's.  So far I really like the bow, I have no complaints!!!

2008 Diamond Black Ice
Easton Axis Arrows
Rage 2 Blade.

Love the Diamond bow.  Added a string stop system half way through the seasona and what a difference that makes in really making the thing quiet.  I was already impressed on how vibration free it felt from the old bow I had, but the string stop system really made it quiet.

I use 2 recurves and 2 PSE compounds to hunt with.
I have harvested deer and turkey with all of them.

I use aluminum arrows for the recurves and carbon for the compounds.

For broadheads, I have hammers on the recurves and muzzies on the compounds.

Which one do I prefer? Prolly neither.....depending on my mood, I switch back and forth.

I wish you would have told me you were looking for a bow. I had a barely used Reflex Grizzley I let go for cheap...cheap.

I shoot a Diamond Black Ice.

I've been shooting a Mathews Legacy for several years. I keep thinking about upgrading but it shoots so well. 65lbs Rage 2 blades. Attached is last years big eight I shot with it.

wow thats a fantastic deer. also if anyone wants to put up pictures of deer that they have harvested with there bow go ahead i think we all would enjoy seeing them. also the story behind them would be awesome also

here is the picture of my 8 pointer this year, its my first buck ever with a bow...it was also late season and i was tracking the group through the snow and i seen the does bedded down and i was glassing and seen this guy bedded down about 40 yards away from them, so i took the long route wind in my favor came up over the hill at full draw, he seen me stood up but it was already to late for him, ended up being a 25 yard shot.

Hey 22lex
It's about 40 miles from the metro, can't say what direction if you know what I mean. The buck netted 154 6/8 PY and grossed 156 1/8. It has a 21.5" inside spread 26.5 main beams. I would post another photo or two but it tells me the files to big. Second rut came right in to my Tinks 69. Seen him a 12 yards shot him at 18. He was doing the old lip curls and everything. What an experience. My brother shot a bigger one this year green scored 181 3/8 gross we will see what it officially scores at the deer classic.

Cody congrats on your buck great story, I'm committed to the stand hunting.

Beman max4 arrows
Grim reaper broadheads

I am looking into buying a bowtech sentinel soon though. Those new center pivot bowtechs are the cats pajamas.

Mathews Reezen 6.5 70#
Apex Nitrous 6 pin
G5 meta peep
t5 quiver
Doinker multi-rod ordered

I love this bow. I shopped for quite a while before I bought this. In the end it came down to the hoyt AM32 or this. The Reezen just felt right. I liked the Bowtechs, but with their recent issues, (limbs and now the admiral cable rub) I didnt want to have any problems, especially a couple days before season.

thats crazy, bigeight
i shot a 10 in the 2007 season that looks exactly like that it netted 162" 21.5 inside spread here is the picture.

by the way i shoot a jennings buckmaster. and am buying a new bow in the next few years. they are getting like computers, two years old and they are outdated and dont hold a candle to the new ones.
