If you play your cards right and spend the rest of the day in church your prayers may be answered and we could wind up on the same team. Nothing would make me happier than to lead you to a victory in 2009.  :USA: I may even let you carry my tackle box in the victory parade.

Got my bobber ready to go.

You'll notice on the bottom a tip of the cap to those three knuckleheads from last year that can't seem to get enough attention. Lee Bobby and Slick.

And how about that  cold-activated bottle. What kind of a marketing dork has never heard of a bare hand?.

What a great idea! if we had bobbers with just SLB on them and if we could return every year you would just have to buy one bobber for the rest of your fishing career...  :whistling:

What does LBS stand for? ..................ahhhh....pounds? pounds of fish?  :scratch:

Naw...that couldn't be it.....It could be excess weight....or dead weight....

You got it hunter.
LBS = Lee Bobby Slick
LBS = Pounds (as in excess dead weight)
LBS = Lots of BS

Turns out there are many translations.

It is with mixed emotions that I pay final homage to the finest team of anglers ever assembled. Yes of course it's the 2008 Fishing Challenge Champions. Today will open a new day on a new season with a new challenge  for each and every 2009 competitor.

It is with great humility I say, if you are fortunate enough to draw a member of the existing 2008/2009 reining Championship Team in today's draft you will more than likely have the opportunity to finish in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Good luck to everyone this year.

I would like to ask at this time out of respect to current and still reining champions that you take a moment on this momentous occasion to remove your caps. Please place your right hand over your heart while we respectfully listen to the 2008 celebration theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtG_-izuZx8&feature=PlayList&p=E63A998E4468920C&playnext=1&index=6

Also to close out the 2008 season

Hey, Big Slick

Congratulations on your new team even if it is deeply flawed. I'm sure you guys will try your hardest to overcome some of those many deficiencies as they're recognized throughout The Challenge. Hey, that's why they named it The Challenge. Enough about the depressing aspects of a Heinz 57 group having to overcome a few shortcomings here and there. WOW! I just named your team "Heinz 57" now how's that for friends helping friends.

If you want I can post Heinz 57 on the team names board for you guys. On second thought it wouldn't be right if I start out helping the competition so you'll have to delegate that to one of your team mates if they can handle it.

Now let's talk about "us" meaning team # 20 "The Wanderers". It was a refreshing surprise to discover that this year I have been matched with a crew of seasoned veterans that are finely honed in all aspects of angling. Not only are we extremely versatile, but exceptionally handsome individuals. Hey, I could go on for Hrs and I know how everyone always enjoys my posts. But in all honesty I just wanted to stop in to congratulate the new "Heinz 57" team.

Has anyone practiced keeping a round bobber by a flopping fish in a boat rocking in the waves? Makes it a little tougher for released fish. I think I am gonna try it in the fishes mouth like an apple in a pigs mouth. Bobby must have a secret to it so others get disqualified when the bobber rolls out of the photo. Good luck to you all in another fun challenge.

the key is you have to catch fish big enough so that you can rest it, the bobber under there little fin. That way it don't roll away. I also sell 8 track tapes titled " The Fish Wisper with a lisp" that will teach you how to calm your fish for that perfect photo.  :whistling:

On a more serious note if you are having problems with your bobber a simple solution is to loop a length of fishing line around your fish board or tape and attach the bobber to the line. This will keep the bobber in the photo and the bobber with your tape or fish board..  :fishing2:

I still have to go to Wally World and pick one of them crappy bobbers up.....

Who fish's with those anyways?

I remember "back in the day" using those things.
