I love Westerns. OLD and new. My favorite is Rio Bravo. One of the Duke's best in my opinion. I also will watch The Quiet Man also a Wayne flick everytime it comes on although it is not a western. Hangem High with Clint is a classic too. Tombstone, Dances with Wolves, Silverado, and Open range just name a few new ones.
Top Gun and Days of Thunder rank up at the top. Road House, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile all good flicks. So many good ones I know I am leaving out.

No one has mentioned King Pin yet.  One new movie I always get stuck watching on HBO is Blood Diamond.  I don't know why I like it so much, but for some reason I am drawn to it.

I am looking forward to Angels and Demons this spring.  I thought it was a much better book than the Da Vinci Code so hopefully that means it will be a better movie.  I did enjoy the Da Vinci Code move more than I thought I would.  I say that more because I don't like Tom Hanks and not because I want to sound smart saying I liked the book better.

Did anyone enjoy Braveheart? I don't see alot of Mel Gibson in the list. This is a good thread for this time of year. It is a good to pass this time watching movies while deciding what new licenses to buy when march 1st comes. I also have a penchant for time travel movies like the back to the future genre.

Ain't much of a movie buff but I like pretty much any western. Also like some comedys and some of the based on true story ones.

Two that stand out for me are
legends of the fall
8 seconds

Guess it's just cause I can relate some to them.
