I  heard his wife has been spotted in a local watering hole here in the
cities. I figure pretty much a done deal.

I protest!  I aint jumpin on any bandwagon!  Im probably one of the only ones, but if this happens, the Vikes are losing a fan till Blubbering Brett retires again... I cant be the only one... Who else out there is against this goin down?

I don't see a down side to this.. I never liked the Packers but always thought Farve was a good QB IF they insist on keeping the best High School quarterback in the country, TJ around then he might as well get schooled by a hall of famer. AD has to love the thought of being able to run again with out 10 guys in the box waiting for him. Farve can still air it out, so going deep should not be a problem. Now if this happens I will be saying here and now that we should go deep into the playoffs and everyone knows it is about winning now I don't care about next year...    D is much improved and with a top running game and with Farve a better then average passing game where is the downside? O and watching Frave in purple playing aganist the Gold and Green, that is just Priceless!

Not happy with any of this garbage.

I am sure if it goes down, he will be the best candidate, but I still hate him for being over the border in greentown.

I was at the game that he threw for the record setting number of games in a row for touchdowns, or was it total td's? Not sure, but I was happy for him and his lifetime accomplishments, then two seconds later I went back to hating him for kicking our butts that game.

Keep in mind he ended his season injured last year. Torn bicep I believe. Probably still better than T Jack or Sage ( whos numbers are almost identical). We had a shot at some good young
QB's in free agency and didnt go it was like they were just waiting for this ticket selling ploy to bring favre in. Maybe

Im not questioning the possibilities with him running an offense with AP behind him or his acomplishments as a QB... It just doesnt seem right at all for him being in purple after him being with the Pack all these years... its like someone marrying their cousin or somthing! :rotflmao:  :puke: I hate the Packers & Blubberin Brett's a Packer....

He is an old qb that is for sure but he can still throw the ball and the big thing is all that experence, reading coverages and having defences know that he can still put the ball downfield, having that threat will make the running game even better. Of course I would love to see him wearing purple and the Packers seeing red !  of course this would make it hard to watch games, when do you take a fridge break? With TJ playing anytime he is on the field is a good time to go to the fridge..

only 2 reasons why he will come here 1. he hates ted thompson and mike macarthy(SP) and wants to beat on the packers 2. we are a team that is very very very close, with our running game and defense. if anything Sage Rosenfels would beneifit from watching Favre for a year. he wouldnt have to play many cold games this year because he play chicago at soldier feild real early in the year, we play the packers both times before november 1st if im correct. are by week is in the middle of the season, right were you want it. we play indoors. he wont have to throw it more than 20 times a game. so this year would be much different than the last 2 years he played were he had to carry the team every week, which caused him to get injured.

All I know is we'll hear "It took Brett Favre to leave the Pack for the Vikings to win a super bowl".... if that did happen, it would be meaningless at that point.... Ive got a few friends that are packer fans.... Id never hear the end of it... its kinda like burning your jacket to stay warm...

I would not worry about that. Didn't ya know the Packers invented football and the internet!  So rare for a player to stay with one team for his career that moving to another team is no big deal.. I would enjoy the heck out of two wins over the packers a Superbowl.... Well that would be just sweet!

Bobby.... I thought Al Gore invented the internet... :whistling:  It would be very surreal for the Vikes to beat the Pack twice with Favre at the wheel, but its so weird to me.... it may throw the earth off its axis or end the world as we know it.... you know, cats and dogs getting along, that whole thing! ;)... If it happens, and Im sure its gonna, following the Vikes with Favre at the helm, for me, will be like watching some really lame reality TV show like Flavor Flav's House of love or whatever.... its just wrong, man.....

:rotflmao: Believe me Bobby... it aint I...But maybe Favre! ;D  I only know of it from channel surfing... well, that and being a big NWA fan!  Got all their albums! ;)(JK)  Well now I can get back to being just a mildly disgruntled Vikings fan :coffee:, instead of a soon to be Bears fan  (would have been really, really sad...)  Think of all I could have accomplished next fall having Sundays free... Oh well....
