One more pic. I try and do at least one every year for the kids. The last couple years we have not. Now I remember why, it is about feeding time! Midnight!!! At least it is only once a night now, better than the every 2.5 - 3 hours. ;)

That is awesome Shane. Where did you get the Fawn? Did you find it or do you raise deer?

Curious to? Do you need a license to keep it from  MDA? I know folks are always getting in trouble for picking up baby critters they think were abandoned.

I do raise them. No license through the DNR anymore. But lots of paper work. We are under the Board of animal health. If you could see the back of that little tag in her ear it would read MN 40055. That is my farm ID and it will follow that animal where ever it may go. I am proud to say my herd has been under CWD surveillance since Feb. of 2001 and is currently at a level 6, the highest level, with no positives. I am also Tuberculosis Accredited and Brucellosis certified with my last tests coming this past June.

My kids would love to see deer up close.  Went to Fawn-Doe-Rosa last weekend and they went nuts.  Feeding, petting, and one doe laid there while my kids snuggled it like it was a dog.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.
