I am heading out with my 7 and 12 y.o. sons, and my 9 month old lab in the morning (the 16 year old is working and chasing something else...) to make the trek up to duck camp.

Wishing you a safe and fun duck opener!

Nice bag there John, also good to see the youngster with ear plugs in.
To many people forget the kids need to protect thier ears, the kids depend on the adult to help them do this.

We didn't do all that great but saw tons of woodies and teal with a flock of 60 hoonkers that passed low enough to bag one.

The rice was way up this year and choked off our honey hole, but we managed to make it into a beaver hut to sit next to.

Next year we need to scout a week in advance instead of waiting till the Friday before opener.

Sunday we got 9.
7 ringbills, a woodduck, and a teal that my son and I tag teamed.  It looks pretty ugly.

And my puppy with his first duck.
