Anybody know where I can do this without getting a long membership, but so that I can spend some time checking muzzleloader bullet/powder combinations?  I did it at a friend's house last year but he just sold his property.

I guess we kinda need to know where you are willing to travel...........
What town are you close to?

Cause, I believe that metro gun club still has an outdoor range that you can shoot at.

Not Metro HD, Beaver Brook has a outside range along with Forest Lk. Also Oakdale

They don't have the range out by the #1 trap house no more?

I use to work there, 30 some odd years ago, and we used to blow off our flintlocks down there.
Suppose it's gotten built up around there by now, so's you can't shoot that stuff anymore.

It's getting built up for sure, I know the owner had or maybe still does have some plans
to open one. That place was my home for a few year's shot a lot of league's & registed trap

Several place to do so, but close to you is anyone's guess.
