This sounds like fun!  I will be happy to coordinate from Fish On!  Just keep me in the loop.  I will scrounge thru the store to see if I can add some stuff to the prize list.

Did I understand that you want to hold the registration at Fish On?  If that is the case, let me know and I can print up some registration sheets.

Do you want to offer a "photo" verification for the biggest fish...meaning that a photo can be taken on the lake of the fish laying across a ruler/tap?  This will allow releasing "big fish" back into the lake if such is caught you and want to practice selective harvest.  I would encourage releasing big walleyes for example.  Photo must clearly show the entire fish from end to end on the tap with the length being shown clearly.  Just a thought to throw out there.

Let me know what else you need or other thoughts/ideas.

Pic is all that is needed.  You need to be registered though.  Thanks for helping out fish on.  I really want to be there.  I can take the pics if the weather permits.

I've been to LOW which is 265 and Winny which is 212 this year already. This would be about 50. I might be moving that weekend so I might not make it. Our house is supposed to be done on Tuesday.

I penciled in the day.  Let me know what you want me to bring.  If HD isn't coming then his thousands of followers probably won't be there and in the case I can handle the hotdogs and buns.

Now that's what I call feedback.  Thanks so much for the pics.   I was asked what I call these jigs.  At this point I have called them mothball jigl-lets. If anyone else that has an idea for a name I am open to suggetions.  Walleye jig has been mentioned.   Problem with that is I have people that use these exclusively for Lakers.   Thanks again for the Pics.

I've been calling them "Hard Ball Jigs" or just "Ball Jigs".

They kinda look like Jaw Breakers...so maybe "Jaw Breakers"...kinda goes with break'in eye jaws or snapp'in.

I like that "Jaw Breakers" idea.   Thought about  EYE-candy too.  I would go with "jaw breaker" jigs because of the saltwater applications.

You win 6 of your choice.  If you let me know color preferences and depths you are usually fishing. I can try to set you up with the right sizes for you and ship them out.  Just in case you can't hitch a ride.  I have your address.  Just want to send  the right ones for you.

Don't anybody kid yourselves.  These jigs different.  They are inbetween a jig and a jigging spoon.  Wildlifeminnesotaknows what he is doing.  You do not jig these as aggressivley as a spoon.  If you are useing old twisted line tie a high quality swivel about 18 inches above the jig to keep it from spinning.  I like to use the 3/8oz and lift and drop with no slack ever.  At the bottom of the drop do a jiggle-jiggle.  Any resitance at anytime set the hook.   I usually tip it with a shiner head.  I also like to use the 1/16 or 1/32 oz. with a #8 treble on my tip ups.  You do not need any split shot and the blade gives you a little flash.  One other option is a fine wire leader tied directly to the jig.  Once I figure out how to post pics here I can show you how this is done.     If you can get to the get together stop in at Fish On Bait and Tackleto get a free jig if you register.  Don't forget the minnows!!  Big fish prize of 50$ does not depend on species.  Photo is manditory.  Ulnless we get a blizzard I will be there taking pics.  Hope to see you all there.   I heard the hot dogs are worth the drive by themselves.   Brian-  if you have anymore tips for the guys on useing these toss them out there.

Those jigs are Great... I read about them on this site last week..saw Wildlifeminnesota pics and immediately ordered a few from Scott to try this weekend over here in ND.  Saugers and walleyes ate them up.... after out catching my buddys I gave in and gave them a jig each!!  Plan to order somemore this week.. Note how the walleye inhaled the jig.  I fished them just as Scott suggested with a small ballbearing swivel 18" of seagaur leader on a small clip.  Except I put on a whole fathead.  This fish in the pic came in to my buddys chubbie darter and then flew over and nailed the new jig which I was just jiggling.  Cant wait to try them on Leech during Eelpout festival!
