This aint Illinois! ;D The final decision will be Ryans and Tims

Hey! :taz: I resemble that remark.
 :blues brothers:

As a resident of Illinois it has become quite obvious to me that this poll is not going in a bipartisan direction. Therefore, I will be contacting one of Illinois finest legislative leaders of all time. I'm sure that Rod Blagojevich will be happy to step in and steer us in the right direction.

Thanks in advance Blago for getting involved  :USA:

The guys from Lake Iwantobethere Lodge would like to vote, but the crappies have been biting and no one wants to come off the ice and walk up the hill to get to the computer.  :rotflmao:

My two cents, I guess, is bring it back... personally I dont like it.  I even got GG pissed at me big time once on there(and Im normally not a guy who gets off pushing peoples buttons and or ticking folks off with my opinions, or I should say that I TRY not to :whistling:).... so another words, if ya dont like it, you dont have to go there, right?  In fact on the walls of my Ice fishing shack is a list of rules, and #1 on it is: NO RELIGOUS OR POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS ALLOWED!  The rest are things like, no swimming after 10pm, no eating the bait, do not feed the bears... stuff like that.  But the first on the list is strictly enforced!  My big issue with political discussion, is 98% of folks are concrete set in their ways, so what is the point of trying to convince others that one persons view is right and anothers is wrong? :scratch: people will NEVER agree across party lines(at least those that are strict Dems /Reps)and will always point fingers of blame at the others party.... And some folks just live to beat each other over the head with their own political hammers! :banghead: :bonk: :banghead: :bonk: Give em a place to do it where I dont have to deal with it..... ;) :happy1:

Saying there will be a surge in numbers because there is a political board here is like saying a goose dropping a load created a tidal wave on a local lake. Nobody is going to notice.  :whistling:

I think the political thread can be an interesting and informative place for folks to express their opinions without offending others. We could have the opportunity to share information and view points with others just as our ancestors did years ago. Sure, we could have a few disagreements here and there, but they can be worked out in an adult manor. Just as an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9vM-O7BYuM&NR=1&feature=fvwp

Thunder I agree with your post completely except for the part about ticking off GG.  You may have taken it that way but I'm pretty sure it's harder then that to tick her off.  She gives and takes the mudd slinging with the best of them.  After all  :queen2:

First: I think we all need to get with the times and take a lesson from the current administration. Second:  We need to move this entire discussion to C- Span. Third: It doesn't matter what the poll says, just put your blinders on and let's ram this puppy thru. Fourth: If anyone has special personal needs taken care of in order to vote in favor of this issue that's where The General comes in.

{Just call 1-800 General}

Fifth: Remember, your yes vote is important to this topic and no special favor requests are to big or to small. :toast:

Dang Lee, your post should have started out "GENERAL MAKE SURE YOUR WIFE ISN'T READING THIS!!!!"

It's not so bad she seen the "Walleye in every pot" that's just an excuse to go fishing.  But the "Special Favors"!!!!!!!!!!!    :taz: :taz: :taz:

Now she is talking about signing up to the site and voting yes.  She says her Honey-do-list might get done then.  I see how your friendship works.  I try and pull you out of the fire with Borgie and Bertha and get a kick in the teeth in return.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

It seems that some haven't come to realize that the political forum has more advantages than may have been originally recognized or not recognized by our leadership. In Just 11 short days this poll alone has singlehandedly generated over 650 total views. Now, no one can say that doesn't account for an increase in viewership for this site and that drops right to the bottom line as far as retaining/increasing viewership.

 Imagine the tremendous potential we have here considering the political forum isn't even up and running yet. If the political forum is not revived it may be considered a huge oversight. :oops1:
