Pout-

We need to have the first 100 rounds (Rd 1 and 2) in by May 2 at the latest from what I read.  WM did have a scheduled event shoot but it appears to be canceled for that Saturday, the 1st.  Rounds 3 and 4 in by June 6th.

Correct?  Yet, the schedule can still be changed from their end?

Thanks for tolerating my "rookie" questions.

Red... just trying to make things easier for ya. ;)  Been shooting there at WM 10 yrs I think, and I still find a way to screw things up once and a while... Ummmm who said I was captain?  We've been making the "rookies" take that role lately.... we made Cody captain the other year when he started.... cant remember if he still is or not?  Cody, do we make Red or Beeker captains this year? (or both?)  Still havent got a call back from Pat #2....  Pat#1 and I may get out and shoot tomorrow at 1030-11am.... if we dont, it'll be next weekend.... If we do get up there, we'll get the roster sheet and book started.... its filed under "B" for Boomstix.... Red.... that another one I forgot to tell ya, all the scoring sheets are kept in our own looseleaf binder, you pull the sheets out when you pay, tell them you are league scoring, and then hand in the sheets after ya shoot... you can re-shoot(hopefully for a better score :whistling:)up to three times for each week's score... but we rarely do unless we have a really terrible round, or we just wanna get some extra practice in... which is a good thing. :happy1: the first couple weeks they use our scores to determine which class our squad gets put into... so we save our very best shooting for the second half of the season... ;) :rotflmao:  If we get out, I'll let you guys know how we did.... its been a looonnng off season.... I may even get out again this month again just to get some extra rounds in.... Got punches left in my card from last year...

I didnt get out either... got wacked big time by allergies! :banghead:  Good news though!  We got ahold of Pat #2... he's shooting with us again & hes got two buddies that are gonna shoot with us as well, so we have our eight guys! (full squad) :happy1:  Pat #1 & I are gonna get out this weekend if I can breathe, and it doesnt feel like I have a log-splitting wedge in my skull.... :doah: anyone else in for this weekend?  gotta get me some shells.... was gonna hit that shooting fair at rice creek GC in little falls, but couldnt even muster up the will to get up there... guess they had great ammo deals there....

Cody..... I think we're fine now... got the max eight guys, but if I lose my job at the end of the month(who knows?) We may need an "emergency call up" from the minors... :whistling: Just heard this afternoon that our honchos are going out east with our report and a proposal to the owners, so I may find out soon...

Beeker... are you able to get out this coming weekend?  I did see they are having the State Super Sporting there this year.... I dont know why really, but I never do well at that with the switching of the targets.... messes with my head, but it shouldnt, no more than 5-stand does really.... Im probably gonna delay tourneys till a bit into summer, maybe I'll find out by then about my job... havent even renewed my NSCA membership yet!  Very lame how this waiting game puts a damper on your life and how ya do things!  Was gonna put some nice BFG AT-KO's on my truck, Ive been driving on baldy's for a couple months now cause I might just have to settle with something alot less expensive :doah:...was saving for a new guitar, may need that $$ for health insurance... :banghead:  At least for now I made up my mind to shoot league sporting clays... lifes way too short... gotta have at least a little fun Eh? :happy1:

you can only give up so much before you lose your mind.. hey maybe you can fill in as a trapper to supplement the unemployement, I can say that applying for the unemployement and getting the check is easy and if you work part time you can drag the  unemploeyment checks out longer (personal experience) . I may be able to get out this weekend.. just need to clear that with the boss and verify the $$$ is in the account (my side project of cedar planters is making a few sales, I use this to supplement the hunting and shooting)..

Sounds like rain coming this weekend so that puts a damper on things.  I might be able to sneak out there next Sunday AM.  Maybe, maybe this coming Friday after work.

Were you talking about this coming Friday to go Cody?
well i didnt get out like i was hoping, because my radiator decided to take a crap so i had to replace that with the time i had set aside for sporting clays so maybe we can all meet up for our first shoot, i cant this upcoming weekend but the friday or saturday after i can.

If so, keep me posted.  I wouldn't get up there until 445 ish if I do go.

There is a place in Ogilvie that has a unique, elevated 5 stand for sporting clays. There are not any leagues right now......but I know you can go and shoot for fun.
Also, they are teaming up with Chad from Wings North, in Pine City and having a Fun Shoot in August.

I believe so... thats what I heard anyway.... onlinedogz, have you ever shot a "walk around" sporting course?  I think its the funnest shooting around... I shoot alot at Metro GC near to where I livein Blaine, they have multiple 5-stand courses, all different levels of difficulty.  Shot 5-stand league there last year, it is alot of fun, but I use it for practice for sporting clays league and tourneys... the walk around type courses are awesome because each station is different than the next, and if you shoot league(at least at the better courses) they constantly change the stations through the year so its always different.... In fact I just got called by the captain of that 5-stand squad from last year, he wants me to shoot there again with them.(came in 2nd last year) It was a blast, but I dont freaking dare with the job up in the air right now... :doah: plus I wanna save a little $$ for some tourneys this summer.  Red.... yeah it looks like a wet weekend now but things could change.... it'd be cool to get as many guys together to shoot, it is tough to get that many guys on the same page through the entire summer (ya gotta go when ya can :happy1:) but we should try.... maybe even do a cookout deal with a few beers afterwards a few times! :happy1:

For shooting birds--but not sporting clays. If I remember correctly.

Just looking at the future forecast and now they're calling for rain Fri, Sat, and Sun next weekend.  Might need to either get wet Saturday (Sunday is out for sure) or shoot this week.  Darn mother nature...

Guys... Pat #2 & one of his buddies(Ken?) got out in the rain on Saturday, Pat #1 and I got out Sunday and I got to keep my gun dry, pretty dang windy though... Typical first outing of the year for me... I sucked, Pat beat me by a few shots, nice to get out though!  Dont know what happened to Pats other friend though , were trying to find out if he's still gonna shoot or not.  Worst case scenario, we'll have 7 guys instead of 8... I'll let ya know what we find out asap...   Man, Chris and Debbie must have had a timber sale!  They've taken out a ton of trees... looks different now... Some good targets... alot of them were tourney caliber targets.... good way to start the year :doah:  ;)!

Oh yeah.... they want ya to shoot rain or shine.... dont expect to find rain gear for rent though, unless ya want to borrow a large trash liner from them... I speak from experience... I did that once there. :whistling:

Hey Cody.... Except for a few close wabbit stations (I know you love those rabbits like I do ;)) theres a good amount of middle to long range stuff... Pat and I both had modified chokes in...(I had modified and imp'd) Pat said there were a few targets that he wished he had a heavy mod or full in....
