Did you use them this past season?

I have talked to a couple people that have used them. They say it's just like the video. The blood is every where. A big hole. The guy at work said he could see the blood fly and she only went about 10 yards.

I have some video of what the rage does to the deer and yes it is true! BUT... I started this season with them and I quit using them because by the time I hiked in and got in the tree the heads were popped. It never failed, my quiver kept popping them. After re-setting them a few times it they got worse and wouldn't reset. I was at the range two days ago and heard this complaint by a few other guys as well. I put them away after the first month this year. But then again there are people that love them and swear by them.

I shot a turkey  with rage 2 blade and it tore him up. I stopped useing them after that trip though  because the blades always opened up while in quiver and while knocked on the bow.

I used (carry on my bow) them and if I ever get the chance i'm shure it'll tear whatever is shot wide open! A few of my buddies used them this last dear season and I couldn't believe the exit holes!

I ordered the 2 blade. The guy at work has never had them open in his quiver.

Most archers will make a bad shot once and while and hit the deer in the guts, the Rage dosen't allow the deer to go far. I think it's the best one out there.I haven't had one open while drawing yet. Don't think I'd shoot a turkey with one thow, I'd be going home with two legs and a tail.haha

i just aint a big fan of mechanical to begin with, but i tryed one of the rage 3's at the range and loved how they flew and like the idea of the 2 inch hole, but when it froze up on me that was the end of that. never had them open on me on the way to the stand though

Just to clarify I have the wrong quiver... but they popped without a quiver and once they pop its hard to reset them. Once the pop multiple times it gets even harder. When spending that much on a broadhead I don't want to have to lose one for nothing.

My experience with them is when they work they are awesome. Cuts a big 'ol hole through the deer...But when they freeze up or don't open(which happened to me on a big doe) you spend a lot of time trailing a minimally wounded deer that you may never find. I had them open up in my quiver a few times as well. I will be going back to fixed blades as well. (K.I.S.S.)

I seen the new quivers they have for them for next yr and it's a pretty sweet thing. You can also take the foam or whatever your broadheads sink into inside your quiver and cut it down so only the tip goes into it. I could care less what the broadheads are doing inside my quiver to be honest. I'll put up with that after using them and seeing what they do. You made a very smart choice

I have tried the rage broadheads, but since went back to the muzzy's.
As previously posted... I have had them pop as well, and wasn't comfortable with them anymore.

I guess it comes down to shot placement and what you are comfortable with. If what you are using is working, then I would stick with it.

As with most of my posts in the past concerning broad heads. I believe if hunters practiced shooting as often as they talked about there equipment this would not even be a discussion. My choice is simple a fixed head and a good shot; it will kill them every time. The less you have to worry about in that tree the better. Sorry if it comes of strong but it’s true

You hit it on the head bowhunter, If your not one with your twig and string, expect problems. Nothing makes up for practice. not unusual for myself to fling a 1000 arrows leading up to bow season. When the moment of truth arrives, I WILL seeze the day! :archery:

i haven't used the rage yet but my brother does, and he gets o rings for them when they start wearing out he puts new ones on and the work like new. i believe rage even sells them in a pack, if not you can always go to the hardware store and pick up a few and maybe find a better one. i am going to try them this year. i have seen the videos and from experience i know sometimes bad shots just happen. i will try anything once that has the rep the rage has.

Some pictures of us introducing animals to the rage 2 blade.
This coon thought it was cool to try stealing bird seed at night. The coon was meet with a strong and from the coons reaction a unexpected resistance from the porch. Ahh you should've seen his face when he found out that this was not our Mom coming out with a broom....

This doe was having herself a beautiful day until she hear a little bow twang music and got a little weak in the knees and light headed.

There's no deodorant on the market that will stop this type of under arm perspiration

Before meeting the Rage this Buck was nose deep in love with a doe. She didn't look to willing so I did her a favor and introduced him to the Rage. Needless to say he did not get laid that fall. The hole is the exit....Hey it was running at 200 yards with a 40mph cross wind. So I miss judged the wind a little. Geeze! :bs:

I dropped my bow earlier in the hunt so not trusting my sights I did this doe in caveman style...Well I shouldn't say that because no caveman had my speed when I'm wearing my Rockies but anyway I seen her eating in a bean feild about 75yrds away so I took off running with arrow in hand (kids never try this...I am a professional) She seen me and took off through the woods. As I was gaining speed on her quit rapidly I caught up to her in no time. While running next to her for 1/4 of a mile I waited until we were 30 yds from the trail before I whispered into her ear "Meet the Rage sister and sorry for making you run this far...I thought deer were suppose to be fast." I then stabbed her with the arrow and she fell dead on the 4 wheeler trail.

One of America's very fierce, wild, untamed and majestic predator. Oh and that is a racoon and a bow that he is holding.

It does look like some real damage there.  I's still using up my old stock of thunder heads before comtemplating a switch.

I honistly think that head should not be shot. I had a horrible time with them. As said they open in quivers and I shot a doe at 15 yds and i made a slight error and i hit the doe in the shoulder blade. The broadhead snapped in half and the deer ran away limping. This was not from lack of kenetic energy I had 79.5 foot pounds. 3 weeks later and after switching to G5 tekans I shot the same doe out of the same tree and again hit her in the shoulder but this time it went strieght through like a hot knife though butter it even came out the other shoulder as well. the deer ran 15 yds and piled up. After that you will never ever hear of my with rage.
