no its just harder to get them if your appying for one of the earlyer seasons or in a smaller area were they dont have as many permits

The oldest daughter got picked as well! 

Now we just gotta wait to see if the youngest daughter gets picked for the youth hunt. 

If you have a first time young turkey hunter, I would recommend signing them up for this hunt.
If they get drawn, they go through the turkey clinic class, recieve a patch, and get an assigned guild to help them be successful on private hunting land. After the hunt, they have a lunch so the kids can brag about their hunt. It's a wonderfull experience for both the child, and the parent!

Applications need to be in before Feb 15th.

I'll be going. Had one 2 years ago, now I was drawn again. They sure do stink when you gut them. Worse than a duck.

It looks like there are still a large number of surplus permits available for the 2010 Spring Turkey hunting season...is anyone else getting out this spring?
