With fall just around the corner, how are you preparing?  I'm specifically asking how you prepare yourself physically and mentally?

After being exhausted beyond belief at the end of last fall, I need to do something.  Walks or running to start and should probably adjust my eating habits to help.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

I guess I don't prepare myself either.

I own a farm, and we target practice a few times a week with bows or guns. We bow fish when we can, shoot trap out the back door. We have an archery range and a rifle range....
We work on trails, deer stands and food plots in between. Not to mention working on the "killing field"  for early goose season.

Then, we go fish'in when we're bored....

I suppose, you could say, we are prepared 24/7  ;D

If science fiction has taught me anything, it's that you can never have enough guns and ammo when the zombies come back to life... "WS"

well working alot this summer, but in my freetime i fish whenever i have time, check on the food plots to see how well they are coming, doing some scouting, glassing feilds for any new promising bucks. shoot the bow more and more now. sporting clays keeps me on edge for wing shooting. practice duck and goose calling (when the girlfriend isnt home)  because im trying to become a better caller. do dog work and take him swimming and do retreives.

I don't do any specific things for physical or mental prepration.  I'm always mentally perpared and there's not much hope for the physical stuff.  :rotflmao:
I usually stay away from my property during June and July (heat and bugs generally make it and unplesant experience).   :whistling:

This year I'm doing P90X.  I have already lost 25 pounds with a goal of 35 more.  Target practice.  Scouting while shed hunting in spring.  Scouting on google earth now.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.
