We have a little more time yet.  The sun is getting higher on the sky and will start weakening the ice but the temps are in our favor.  There is plenty of ice out there.  I'm hoping the sun knocks some of the snow down.  I'm planning on doing a little slab hunting on a couple of lakes I researched on the lake finder.  They are tough to get to but from what I see it should be worth the effort.  Anyone else lickin their chops at the chance of hot pan fish action or is your season done?    :surrender:

Over? Absolutely not!

As soon as the high school hockey season is done, we're (myself and FireRanger) pounding the lakes for sunnies and slabs.  Last year, he and I put on the waders and broke ice to get onto the ice pack.  No augers, no flashers, just went hole to hole looking for fish and we were the only ones out.

Not done yet. Still have the house out. Going to try and locate the crappies tomorrow and put the house on them.
