   Well, the last of the Stokes Bay Boys and all three of the MNO fishing challenge judges will be on their way back tomorrow am.  I came back yesterday.  Unfortunately without an upgrade for my team.  After 3 and a half days of fishing hard only one team upgrade was caught.  Now the guys that stayed for an extra day had one more chance at it.  I will leak that it was team 2.5 men with the upgrade.  I will also leak that a 39 inch pike was caught.  The rest you will have to wait to find out.

   I hate to tell you that the stealth worked perfectly. I did find that it floated better once the plug was in it.    That means I will get several trips to Leach in this summer and will be hitting Pelican in Orr for my bass and maybe a pike upgrade this fall.  The Avengers will finish at or above 90" and take the top spot.  Have at it with the plug jokes.  Along with all the gear I hauled half the lake over to Kettle falls.

I finally figured out why DDS can't catch any fish!
He's fishing along side his boat, instead of in it where the water is deeper!!

  It was a minor glitch that was easily solved once I moved the 10 gas tanks and 6 100lb coolers that were all between me and the back of the boat.  I had to park about 2 city blocks away so I got about as much water in there as possible without sinking.  I got it plugged and the bilge pumped all the way to Kettle Falls.  Once I got on the trailer I was able to pull the plug and empty out the rest on the portage.  All good fun.      I wanted to be sure to give you guys something to talk about for the next 3 years.

I was on the dock and seen the whole thing. DDS backed his boat down into the water, the General was holding on to the boat at the dock. DDS took off to park his truck. The General yelled to Hunterdowns son, "Quick pull the plug before he gets back"...and with lighting fast speed, junior was in and out of the boat before you could blink an eye......

Will this next week reveal the demise of the ever overbearing avengers?

 Cracks have been found in the once thought invincible wall that the avengers have been hiding behind. As we see, the old wall begins to crumble from the outside. Building pressure by the new and refreshing challengers just waiting to pounce are causing chaos.

The point spreads on the leader board will be realigned to reflect a changing of the guard. Many teams will begin to scramble for new positions as the season is now more than half over. Yes!, the once self proclaimed invincible Avengers will be looking for a seat in the rear of the bus before long.

The once mighty wall is crumbling as we speak never to return to it's prior status.

That's pretty big talk for someone who hasn't caught a fish to upgrade in the last two years!
Even bigger talk for someone who will lose their lead if either of the two next in line enter an upgrade of only 1 1/2 inches.

OK!  Im back!  A great week off in Wonderful Minnesota!   I spent the week teaching my Son-in-law and Grandson how to fish!  My Son-in-law was in Helman Province last summer when we were at the Lake...USMC.  So I made sure he had a great time.  I had Bob Auel take us out for a half day walleye fishing..great time..9 eyes...pretty good for a Hot August day..not the best walleye time.  The pressure was on Bob to produce, not me and he held up his side of the deal! My Wife and Daughter wanted to hit the North Shore for a couple days  and I got another 1/2 day trip on Superior...never have tried this before....another great day.  Ian will be in Afganstan again next summer so glad he had a great time..  We boiled up 100+ Rusty Crawdads, ate walleye,perch,ROCKBASS and trout all week and might have had a few Beers!

I didnt get him a muskie on Leech, but I did, Ian only caught this....



Best part of the week was this picture though.....for the obvious reason... and later a picture of the ROCKBASS  I caught!!!


Now U better watch our....all the company is gone...time for Me to FISH!

I see the old Boat sinker DDS is still flapping his gums.  Go thing Clint Eastwood was there to rescue him once again.  I always feel sorry for the little guy in his time of need.  That is 2 times now I've rescued his Iron horse.  I should say his Iron Burro because he's such a little guy he doesn't need a horse.

An inside source tells tells me that the avengers are starting to sweat profusely over not begin able to upgrade their points. I won't mention a name but I was told by one of their team members that the infighting amongst themselves has become unbearable.

The best I can do is give out a clue as to who the informant is but, you guys probably won't be able to figure it out anyhow so he'll be safe
