Cast???   We just use handlines....biggest whoppers caught that way, or pull out the old Cane pole if further from the boat!  I Can remember when I got my first take a part cane pole a big up grade from the 12' regular cane pole.  BTW caught a lot of NICE northerns on Pike Bay(Cass Lake) as kid on big canepoles with a 9" sucker and a slip bobber!

   Good point Boar!!      It looks to be a little more than uncanny.   Put a hat on the guy in the picture and have him hold a 30"+ walleye or a sub-par rockbass and you have the Corn-meister.

   I have personal inside information that Greatoudoors has almost fully recovered from last years Borgie Beatdown.  Word on the street is second place will be tough for anyone to wrestle away from him this year.  He has asked that Borgie undergo a drug test but I am a little hesitant to go that far.   Maybe Lee could politely ask her after a big Bingo win.

He can use the same one that he uses every summer over by that camp he always hangs out by. I heard he's been practicing holding that periscope with one hand now! That's just in case he needs to use his other hand for something.

Actually there are two possible uses for the other hand!!
One, to do something we cannot post on a family forum (use your imagination), the other to hold the leash, preventing his pet sheep from running away!! (again, use your imagination what "Floofy" is for)

What's going on with the Last Minute Louie's (tortoises) on the sign up thread. We know your out there hiding in the weeds. We also know you don't want to be like the tortoise and the hare. You know what happened in that case. Do I sense the fear factor taking over. Did you have a bad season last year? Are you afraid of the agony of defeat?

Others will be glad to sign up and take your place on the limited 30 enrollee's roster. So, it's up to you Bunkie, just don't start to  when you find out you've stalled around to long and can't join in on the fun.

Mailed mine last Thursday. You should have got it by now. No one on this site that I should fear. I can take defeat in as much agony as the next guy. Except this year I will be one of the three that goes undefeated.

                     Believe it or not!...

Today when I went out and retrieved my mail and I told myself "O' not again! As I opened each individual envelope things were running along smoothly. Then I reached the forbidden fruit. This was the one envelope that could cause me great stress. I called Borgie into the kitchen for support just in case. In unison we counted down together prior to opening the forbidden fruit 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 GO! I stopped briefly and said "I can't do this". I told Borgie you open it.

My hands were shaking as I passed the envelope over to Borgie. "Don't be such a big baby" she said as she picked up the letter opener. Just as she had begun to open it the letter opener slipped out of her hand and hit the floor. That's it I told her. "It's a bad omen" I stated and left the room.

Borgie is a real trooper and not easily intimidated. As I fled the area Borgie let out a powerful scream. Immediately I turned around with the worst in mind. To my surprise Borgie was standing there in shock. "What happened" I said. I can't believe it!......... I can't believe it! Believe What! Someone from MNO actually followed the mailing directions to a T. One stamp, One return address sticker, and no extra envelope.

And now you know the rest of the story thanks to Retired on Osakis.

If I were to feel bad about the team I'm on beating the rest of the teams in the contest then  would be true. But trust me, there won't be any  coming from this guy. The rest of you might as well  .
