While your waiting for the challenge teams to be drawn theirs still work to be done. Work you say! Just what work would that be? You need to start a tickler file with a list of potential team names. It's best to be ready right out of the box. You don't want to start out the competition being referred to as team 6 or team 8 do you. Let's put on that old thinking cap and ged- er- dun.  Have your team members each submit 2 or 3 names. PM a List all 6 or 9 names to the team group. Have everyone vote for 1 name till you come up with a 2 or 3 votes on one name.


For your convenience Lee has provided his services this year only. Lee is willing to send each team a list of 20 outstanding names to choose from.  WOW! All this and only $9.95 But wait, the first 5 teams to send Lee $9.95 will receive a bonus 10 names free of charge. That's correct 30 brand new teams for ONLY $9.95.

It brings me great sorrow to share this information here on the smackdown thread. Now don't share any of this with anyone else because I wouldn't want to cause any grief for the individual involved.

It seems that in a moment of panic greatoutdoors has hit a new low. The challenge tension was to much for our man not knowing who his teams partners would be. Anyhow, he figured he'd get a leg up on everyone and decided to go to a fortune teller. As soon as he laid his $50.00 down the   began to flow. She told him everything he wanted to hear except the most important thing. "Is the great Lee Borgersen going to be on my team?" he asked.

At that point she told him it would cost him another $50.00. BAM! he slammed down another $50.00 without hesitation. "Well" say's greatoutdoors. She said take my hand and as he did his heart began to race as he felt the touch of a woman. Will he be on my challenge team? Will he....will he?  With his heart pounding at a record pace she looked into his eyes as she ran her tongue across her top lip and said NO!

Being disappointed G.O. figured he could still salvage something out of this meeting with the desirable lady. He asked could you tell me if.... if....if... you would consider going on a date with me? She smiled and with a very sexy voice she said she'd have to look into the crystal ball once more for the answer. He said lets do it check the crystal ball! Ok she says but, that's another $50.00. BAM! down goes the $50.00. She states to him that she see things looking like it could happen. Yes she says why not. Just then a door slams....It's her husband. What the is going on here he screams as greatoutdoors flees for his life.

People said that you could hear the gipsy couple laughing for hours.

  Lord Almighty and sweet baby Jesus.  The Boar, the union Guy. and DDS need to come up with a victory speech on par with the onslaught we are about to unleash on the unsuspecting MNO lambs of leisure.   Sorry boys and girls.  This is Glenn's year.  His    will be sharp and clear.  Boars spelling  will be crisp and concise.    20+" bass. 30+"walleye and 40+"pike.   I think we could all save some time and have the prizes sent out to us now.  Call us the winners and re-draw teams so that everyone else doesn't have to suffer the humiliation.

I am sorry Glen, I really am. To have both DDS and the Boar on your team you will have to sit in the boat and listen to a summer of "The sky is falling, O no its not" But on the other hand Boar will not be in the boat as he only fishes from shore, might be a little fear of being on water that is not frozen? and DDS well he means well, nice enough guy but he is under a lot of stress with his job and up late at night painting eyes on tiny jigs. But look at the bright side... you can't finish lower then 7th

    Mr. Bass,  I apologize for my partners exuberance to have a shoe in to be one of the MNO fishing challenge champions of 2014.  I pulled his post because there was a little too much a$$ in it. (thanks for the quote Lee) He is still locked into his ice fishing  team's mentality.  Our team will win with dignity.  While we will be kicking a lot of (the little icon pulling his pants down that is now gone) during this contest, we will keep it civil enough for a bedtime story for a Boarlet.   That being said, you are now talking to us!!

    THE STAPLE ITEM FOR THE 2014 MNO FISHING CHALLENGE-



     A quarter.   A 25 cent piece.  Head or tails won't matter.  Canadian not approved of but will be accepted.  Year or state does not make a difference. 

       2 dimes and a nickle=not a quarter
       25 pennies=not a quarter
       a dollar bill ripped into 4 parts=not a quarter


    The staple item is a quarter that must be in the picture.     Rusty bottle caps and old washers are not a quarter.  The staple is a quarter.  No Spanish dubloons, or Roman coins.   The staple item is an American or Canadian quarter.  It's a coin.    Any pictures without the staple will be DQed.
