I wandered into uncharted territories with some of my gun trades. ended up with a colt police positive this winter. it dates to 1917 with a 6" barrel. still fires nice but shows holster wear.. and I have 3 boxes of 38sw to go with it, it fires (quite well actually)
a buddy of a buddy.. has an interested in it. he's offering a Winchester 94 in 375. lightly used with the box. my research shows these were made early 80's. he wants me to toss in some cash (100ish).  to be honest I don't see me using either of these guns all that much. my honest intent is to get a lever action in either 357 or 22wmr (henry has a lever action 22wmr for around 499 at fleet farm cash value of my colt I would say max is 400)

what are your thoughts on how even this trade is?

I would say that both guns are about even (depending upon wear)
Assuming the Winchester has equal usage.

thinking I'm going to pass and hold out for something different. unless he takes the added cash on my end off.
