Unfortunately this year as much as we hate to do it we're putting greatoutdoors on notice. Borgie and I decided that enough is enough is enough. Actually 3 enough is to much!   The last several years while on vacation up in Ely it seems that greatoutdoors continues to call the resort that we stay at and starts asking how the fishing has been. Eventually he gets to the specific topic he's interested in. "By the way are the Borgersen's staying there this year?" As if he didn't know! "Have they been doing any fishing?"

"Any big fish for them so far?" He asks the owner. Last year he even shows up at the resort with his lady friend pretending that she was passing out some bogus pamphlets. Talk about a guy that's paranoid, I mean to tell ya.

Wouldn't one think as long as he came to the resort all the way from town that he'd knock on the cabin door to say hello to us. No! not our Jimmy, he just slithered out to he car and skedaddled back under the porch at his tackle shop in Ely.

   This is going to be a good contest this year.  I saw Jim this winter and he already was  dressed in full battle gear.  Two helmets and a bullet proof vest.  Mouthguard, shin and elbow pads.  It really wasn't slippery out so I think he is just getting ready for the summer beat down.

What Lee says is true, at least a part of it.  We did go to the resort, after the Eve of Destruction was holding a massive lead in the Challenge.  As I began to climb the steps to Lee's cabin, I heard loud sobbing coming from the cabin. 
Then a female (I assume Borgie) began screaming, "Lee, you do not have the ability to outfish Great Outdoors and his team, you need to quit!" 
Lee replied, "I know Borgie,  Boar could kick my ass in fishing!  Now I even have to fear DDS hammering me, I have no where to turn for a hobby, perhaps knitting!"
Borgie countered, "Lee, maybe water color painting is best, with all the tears coming from your eyes the paint would always be wet!" 
I couldn't take it anymore so quietly drove away knowing that this was probably the Borgersen's last Challenge,
unless they raises the ante to buy their way onto my team!!

During a recent visit to Ely the famous Mr. T was asked a brief question by The Ely Echo news reporter. "Mr.T, do you think that the greatoutdoors will be able to back in to a second MNO fishing challenge championship?" Mr. T said "all I can say is"............................

Looks like the Borgersen household is still stunned by the butt kicking the Eve of Destruction gave their teams last year!! 
Well, the bad news for them is it will continue this year, unless they can bribe officials to put them on my team!!
It is sad, to say the least, at how far they have fallen as their sub standard fishing skills become more evident!!

Well, I see ling0069 has wandered over to the fishing challenge sign-up board. Let's  ling to the smackdown thread. If he get's on my team I'm going to take ling under my wing. Maybe he can even talk his older brother lang into signing up for the challenge. Now if both brothers get drafted on to the same team they could name the team the ling lang.

Don't look now sports fans but, we have two new sheriffs in town. One is young, handsome & strong. The other WAS young, handsome & strong at one time. These two claim to be related but, will have no problem duking it out when on the lake together. If you can't figure out who these fierce competitors are check out the sign-up board. They will be known for now as #'s 16 & 17.

Most folks don't believe in this stuff but, Borgie wanted me to give it a try just for fun. She wanted me to contact one of greatoutdoors girlfriends. "Who might that be you ask?" Well!........ The list of his x girl friends is so long I wouldn't even know where to start. Therefore I went to his bread and butter lady. Yep you guessed it, the old gypsy lady on chapman St. in Ely. I have no idea what he sees in her but, to each his own. I do remember him saying she was a sharp dresser.

I sent this gypsy woman fortuneteller an e-mail to get a read on how greatoutdoors was going to fare in the 2015 challenge. Her responds back to me was "Show Me The Money". So, I forwarded her the $3.00 she required. After looking into her crystal ball she responded back to me with "Lumps, bumps, pain, and shame"

I've been popping back on and off the computer trying to see if greatoutdoors had responded to my last post on the smackdown thread.   I know he was on line when I last posted on the smackdown thread. He's been signed out ever since. All I can figure is that after  the gypsy's forecast regarding his 2015 season he couldn't handle the truth.

   He has been spotted hauling loads of dirt out from under his porch.  I think he is digging down another level.  Being a retired minor comes in handy when you have to spend your summers in hiding.

I just love when the two of you, who I've thumped every year in the Challenge, start trying to "verbally diminish the competition" since they can never beat me. 
Of course, when you cannot catch any big fish, talking is all ya got!!

I wonder if greatoutdoors is still riding high on that half lucky Challenge Championship Last season.   First he snags a big pike in the back to slide into first place. Then The General's giant pike  that would have knocked out the greatoutdoors team what's a names from first vanished. How much more lucky can one guy get.

To top it off then he barely won his side bet with a guy that fished from shore!  He better hope for some strong team members in the draft this year or he may just as well figure it's...............................

Oh man, 1st I clobbered your close relative, Boarg-ersen in the side bet! 
Then you have the nerve to suggest that the never photographed, (so therefore never was) Pike that the General CLAIMS to have caught, gave the fantastic fishing combo named "The Eve of Destruction" the Challenge victory.   
You are pulling out all of the stops to try to deny that the "EVE" was by far, the best team ever assembled in the history of the Challenge, period. 
The Eve of Destruction rules Babee, until the 2015 Challenge declares a new winner!! 
PS-Perhaps the General's phantom fish was a Vampire, which made it unable to be photographed!!

                      Looking for more MNO Time Machine Photos

Not to co-mingle our various threads on the site here BUT. I was wondering if greatoutdoors still had any of those photos from back in the day when Borgie gave you your first Borgie Beat-down. Remember the time you were hiding under the porch and peeked out thinking we left the shop. Bam! Borgie let you have it with the Louisville slugger.

I know someone has a copy of that photo since it was featured in The Ely Echo.
