To me, turkey season is like fly fishing. It almost seems surreal. The calming, calculated, strategic planning it takes me....makes this my favorite, by far, season of all seasons. The bonding that takes place between my children and I far surpass any other time of year. So, with the upcoming season, the top banner has been changed to project my favorite quarry.

Who else is ready?

'm not going but when I did I went archery cause of the muli season,I love being in the woods an fields. Still exciting but I did shotgun many years and I dont care if I get one or not so bow & arrow is what I prefer.
Hopefully you got a early season,This early warm weather has em struttin already, bout 2 weeks ago we had 15-16 in the yard and the 1 full grown toms  an jakes were struttin an squabbleing.
Last week I saw 4 toms north of me 5-
6 miles in the wooded part of the county. goin full bore. My thoughts is a early breeding and the first season should be best.It is April 1st Right?I can look at the DNR again? I did when I saw em in the yard and thats when I thought early breed.Mid to late season hunters will have it tough!
 Good luck!

We had wood ducks looking at the boxes today!!!!!

Boar  forget the baiting... find where they roost and where they feed.... setup a ground blind (portable Popup) between the two get a good hen decoy, learn how to call... not as easy as you think, be there in the dark, call when you here them leave the roost.  I can't wait!

I believe only the first two seasons "A" and "B" need be applied for.  (April 13-26) The remainder of the seasons are over the counter without limits.

Wanna hear something weird? When I bought my license this year....they didn't ask me for a zone or a season. So after the lottery seasons, the tag is good for the whole time afterwards.

Good one there HD.  You never know what you get at some locations.  I usually have to tell them how to lookup and print a Lifetime license.

I just got back from town. They couldn't change my tag,  which is fine. I usually hunt with my daughter,  and am going to call a bird for her anyways. Problem is,  she hadn't bought her tag yet and maybe sol for the season she wants. She's up in Brainerd right now, and headed to the store......we'll see. ...

looking thru regs, i cant find any season date for H-D zone. or whar the zone are in acordence with a map.
pluse i see tha yu have to have a disabiltypermit or be over 60 to use a crossbow if u choose archery. if yu choose firearm can one still use a crossbow?
one can use a cross bow for deer during the firarms season. dose this regulation parralel
