Ok so we all pretty much know why such an anbundence of new members have arrived, which is really cool and awsome, and i personally can speak for myself and a few others here, WELCOME!. We also understand that things have settled down on HSO, which is cool, it should have never gotton that way in the first place. but it is what it is. I know that a few of you will fileter back, and filter back and forth. it be what it'll be. But Im coming out and saying this by my choice and feeling. Im not asking anyone to choose a site over the other, but I hope you guys certainly give this one a chance to really see what it has to offer. everyone here is has one thing in mind and that to get to gether and have fun. sometimes it moves a little slow and other times it gose pretty fast. we try for gett gethers, we have have ICE-A-PALOOZA EVERY  winter on red, and cookie becomes really active here, but gose into suclusion during the summer, weired little cookie,teasing ya buddy. we have contests of fishing and hunting, Lee dose a fun one called Caption contest, where he post a picture and member try and coime up with the best caption, winner selcted get a prize, donated by another memebr. and other things come into play. so Ihope you all can find a home here too. So your all so welcome to stay and check things out and believe me, the group here is as real as it gets. Great people, fun people, that just live life as happey as they can make it for themselves and others. so give it chance, I ggaruntee youll make some great freinds here too. One thing I'd like to add is we have an owner, Hunterdown, who really cares.  The guy gives up hours of his time daily and rarely ever asks for anything in return but for everyone to have fun.  He never tries to make a dime off this site and pays for things out of his own pocket.

I really like the message Boar! And I can't agree more, I am very glad you folks are here! We all have been working hard to make this site for you...the outdoorsman, and outdoorswomen. I will continue to help folks out, to try and make this place "where everybody knows your name" kind of atmosphere.

Good post Boar [or is it Soar?].  I'm still finding my place around here.  like I just seen this post for example.  Got to look around more than just the cooking forum.  I'm a refugee from HSO.  Left there and I used to bounce back and forth when Boar first told me about this site.  I'm not interested in going back.  I like the guy's there that I have gotten to know and am glad some of the guys are here as well now.  I used to post a lot about the Arrowhead area on HSO and will do so here when I get a chance to go there like this June up at Ash River for a week.

I have had get-to-gethers every year at Grindstone in February when the ice is safe.  I usually give out prizes by drawing numbers .  Usually sausage packs and smoked Canadian bacon.  Didn't have one this year due to poor ice conditions.  Fish in the morning, have lunch at noon and spend an hour or more BS-ing and then back to fishing.  Lot of guy's share foods up there.  I bring home smoked polish and my German kraut for topping.  Got some pics of this on my site below in the Where To Go Page.   Shows where I fish on the Ash River area also.  So hope to be on here for some time and contribute.  good luck.

just to get this off my chest I wasn't too bugged by the initial HSO issue.  Seemed like some moderately petty stuff but when one poster suggested he was going to figure out where another lived and make his life difficult that made me uncomfortable.  Ok, now I'm done with that.

Thanks for the new spot, hope I can contribute at least a portion of what I will get getting.

I wondered about the Smite thing too.  If a guy gets a lot of smites he doesn't get in trouble does he???    So we can smite the heck out of someone just to be funny?  We are kind of paranoid from our past family life you know.  We are just coming out of our shell here.
