the money I save on the smoker, my dad says get a mixer. thin is they come in odd sizes like 17lbs 20 lbs, 44 lbs ect. Id like one that hold up to 25 lbs of meat. ut would the 44 lber be to big and not mix properly. the 44 lber is a great price 168.00 any suggestionS

My mixer can hold 20 lbs, I got it as an attachment to my grinder. Suppose it depends on how big a batches you want to do... I bought it because I like grinding some bacon with my  venison burger, then mixing it all up. So I can process a deer with it. 44 lb mixer at $168 is not a bad price, but like I said, it depends on what you wanna do with it.

well thats just it. man im slow it just hit me. 10 lb bqtcches are easy an make enough producct. iff i want more the i just double the batrcch to 20. der!

That's what I thought when I saw yur post  ....I can grind a whole deer in a couple hours. I can see if yur grinding and mixing a cow, or a buffalo or elk.....  44lb'er would be great!

All depends on what kind of production you want to achieve.

 boar do you have a sausage stuffer?? I,We my dad a butcher never made quantity enough to call for a mixer,BUT a drill mounted stainless steel drywall mud mixer does a excellant job.They are made for meats at 2-3X the cost but my mud mixer works.I dont have a stuffer just use the grinder with a no plate and horn for stuffing.A stuffer is what I'd look at >>Unless ya gotz one??

Yup thanks dew! I gots a stuffer a slicer, a grinder and now I just picked up a 20 lb mixer at Scheels for 99 bucks. Thanks tho!
