Boat control

As long as some methods are being posted here I'm going to suggest boat control is one of the biggest concerns of mine when fishing for walleyes.  Setting up a controlled drift with all in the boat in good position, staying on the spot at all times, controlling the boat even when a fish is being caught and landed.  I see people out in 30 feet of water 30 feet off of a spot when the spot is 12-15 fow and they chances are nil.  There are exception where wandering off the spot finds other fish but that is pretty rare.

I think if you control your boat well your fishing improves a ton and rookies don't end up stuck in the prop.
