Mock Srapes

Have any of you created mock scrapes? Any luck with them?

Product reviews have been good for this product. .
...but, have you ever made your own mock scrape?  I have, and have had limited results. I've seen more deer avoid it than visit it.

I scrape the ground under a low hanging branch and just pee there.  Make sure not to touch the branch.

I tried it once but don't remember the results!
