Grouse Hunting Northern Minnesota
Hi Everyone, I am taking my friend grouse hunting for his first time ever. I was thinking of going up north to the Superior National Forest, but there is so much land to hunt up there I don't know where a good spot would be to hunt. Does anyone have any suggestions for areas of the forest to start in? It would be a great help. I've never hunted grouse that far north and would like to make it a good hunt since it will be his first time hunting grouse. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I know Bobby hunted up there for grouse, but he has been off line for awhile because of health. So, I don't know if we have others that might have hunted that area.

Hopefully someone has.

Welcome DW,  I'm heading that way as well.  I've already picked the area, I'm heading up early to mid October  and will be hunting close to water.   Good luck.

Best way is with google maps  look for state lands with lots of aspen cutovers.  If you find area with several different cuts from new to older...bingo.  Get off the trails, hope you have a pointer...
