Yes, the swamp donkey is for sale.  We used it for 5 years now and have never gotten stuck.  Crosses swamps with ease.  I'm only selling it because I bought land with a cabin and didn't need my camper so I traded the camper for the Argo. I was thinking of asking $3000 but will sell it to any MNO member for $2500.  (even if a member refers someone)

It's around 700 pounds. It's a Max II six wheel drive. There is a lot of information on line including u-tube videos.  The tracks come off if you want.  It's not too fast and with the tracks it would be rough ride at high speed.  I'd guess around 20 mph or so.  Don't forget ice fishing which this is the real ticket.

$2500 with the tracks? I would love to have one just for ice fishing but the pile of chains and sprockets make me a little nervous when miles out on a lake.  :help:

Looks pretty heave duty. Them are some nice chains. I would think they have been around a long long time and there dialed in?

That's really cool deadeye. Those things always intrigued me back to the days when I was a kid and they were orange-colored. There was a short-line equipment dealer, Biel Implement that sold them in Spring Valley. This was about the time 3 wheelers were becoming popular so they didn't catch on with the farming crowd at the time. The Argo's would go through anything but they weren't fast enough and were rough riding. The addition of tracks though just adds a whole 'nother dimension.

Yes it floats.  At least in all the videos as I haven't tried it yet.  Normally it has six wheel drive but they recommend removing the front set of chains when you have the tracks installed.

Why? Or is that just a way to say the front chains are crap?

I doubt they are "crap" as they are the same as the center and rear chains.  I assume it's because they are not needed for drive as without them you still have 4 wheels driving the tracks.  I drove it that way for a couple years and when I replaced all the bearing a few years ago, I never put them back on.
