I was reading a topic on facebook, someone asked how do you stay awake, alert in the deer stand? I thought it was an interesting topic.

One guy answered "cocaine and gummy worms" LOL!

What do you do?

Well, Mountain Dew and Energy bars are always a good choice...

Or watching videos twin red-heads and olive oil. Although, that can make for being TOO alert...LOL

When younger, I never had a problem staying alert (awake).  Now that I'm more mature (older) I just nod off a little and then I'm more alert when I wake up.

Same here I used to be way more alert when younger but..............now that I'm older I'm still alert not knowing how many more I got left lol. Years ago in zone 4 first weekend having only 2 days you had little choice but to be alert or your 1 chance might not happen. It will be a challenge in this weather but never a challenge since I'm 15 feet up on one of 9 ladder stands with no harness lol, I best lay off the liquids tonight ! Good Luck and be safe to all !
