I've gotten that one for years. Older varieties in it. I think they are owned by a company that owns quite a few of these. Basically a warehouse like Gurneys.

Already ordered my seeds and trees, so I should be good to go.

Think you're right Ken. If you look on the address from Jung's, The Vermont Bean Co.,Shumway's and a few others, it's the same address. Shumway's has that "old fashioned" look to it so it maybe appeals to old farts like glenn!  ;)

Ya mean ya didn't keep it for reading material in the oval office?  :coffee: Since I'm TRYING to stay on topic today (barely), I did scorch off a chunk of pasture w/glyphosate this fall for our new garden site. On a south facing slope with access to water from the house. Some nice dark soil, guessing it's a Clarion. Been fertilizing the pasture the last several years so it's prolly OK. Easy to get at w/the chitspreader though so we'll pump 'er up before breaking it up. :happy1:

My Gurneys just came also. I almost always order something from Jungs also. My Twilley catalog came a couple weeks ago. I ordered and received some new seeds from Harris a couple weeks ago. They had a free shipping sale going. I also usually order from Johnny's. They have some really good sweet corn and melon varieties.

the gurneys you guys talk about, is that out of hermantown mn?

The gardening stuff amazes me. You guys are sorcerers or something, or chemists, or biologists, or all 3..

I've done ok with tomato plants but never had a full garden. I think I would enjoy it if I could make time for it.

Gurneys is kind of a joke for me......their big thing is if you buy $25 worth of stuff......they give you another $25 worth of stuff. BUT.....everything is practically double the cost of other companies.I look at the nice pictures and then chuck it in the round filing cabinet.

It's kind of like all the  BS infomercials you now see on TV......they offer you something and then tell you an exerated price. Then knock off 1 payment.....and best of all they will send you 2 at that great price. I only want 1 so why can't I just buy 1 at half that great price. Every one of those companies are doing that now. Great way to sell you 2 of them. Same with Gurneys. :bs: :bs:

Yup, I only buy stuff from Gurney's if I can't find in any place else....specialty seeds and such, but low volume.

I ordered a Gurneys catalog yday just for s***s and giggles.  I always started my peppers inside in about mid-March, or a tad earlier. At 6 wks, they were always ready to go.
See? I didn't make any wise cracks about Glenn, being old, slow, forgetful, or empty-headed. I'm being nice.  ;D

Think I might start a round at the end of the month, if they need more house time so be it. Then I'll start another, then probably pick up some started at cals or wherever.  Next thing ya know the patio is full of buckets for the dog to pee on....it's an obsession...I have a problem!!  :happy1:

I'm not planting cherry 'maters anymore. I have bags of them in the freezer yet. Giving them away left and right every year. I plan on one Early girl, some green tops, and I'm gonna try snap peas this year. That's it. I average 60-75 maters off the Early Girls, way enough for me.
