12:45 am on Tuesday and I'm up with the stomach flu - nasty, nasty stuff. Felt it coming on throughout the day and was hoping it was a false alarm - NOPE!  :puke:

Hopped online because I can't sleep in-between bathroom visits. All the delicious food pics on this site which I usually love, now look gut-wrenching to me. Not good!!! Usually these things are short-lived, I hope so.  I'd like to get back to enjoying food.  I don't get these bugs very often, but when I do, it seems to be around the holidays.  I guess a lot of people congregating in small spaces coupled with too much eating and drinking and probably not getting enough rest is to blame.

Well, I should try to get some rest - good news is I'm off to a great start on my New Year's resolution weight loss! ;)

Hope you feel better soon, I know how you feel a few years back the same thing happened here on New Year's Eve. I felt it coming all day, nothing tasted right, had that gurgling in he stomach. Well about two hours before the ball dropped it hit me and I spent the next two days on the toilet with a bucket on my lap with it coming out both ways, miserable way to start off the new year and to burn up 2 sick days in the first 3days of the year
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

This fall I saw in the paper that there was a lot of norovirus going around.  That is the stuff you read about on cruise ships occasionally.  Really contagous.

Or it could have been some kind of food poisoning from something you ate.  Stuff sits out, or gets cross contaminated.

Try to not get dehydrated.  I hope you feel better soon, it is sure a miserable experience whatever it is.

Tough way to lose weight.  :sorry: :sorry:

Eww!! Bad stuff, TL. I had that a few years ago from the place I worked; we all got it. Keep up the fluids, and only think of food like this;

Well, definitely not 100% yet but I think it's passing through (quite literally). Rare sick day for me today, spent the morning sleeping.  I did eat a cup of ramen soup which is about all I can muster at this point.

Started "Stranger Things" on Netflix to keep my mind of the discomfort.  About 3 episodes in, it came highly recommended by friends, not sure what to think of it so far--I'm not a big Sci-Fi guy.  But it's peaked my interest enough to give it a few more episodes.

Anyway, we'll try and eat a little supper tonight - My wife's starting a new healthy eating challenge - not a resolution, we do about one of these per month for a week.  Anyway, she's hardcore, I just come along for the ride.  It will probably do me good coming outta this nasty stuff.

Got the noro when Mom was in the care center. Went through the whole place. Everyone was sick, nurses, residents, visitors, everyone who had eaten there. It was closed several days before they reopened it. Traced back to some fish which I happened to eat. I had left the care center because I wasn't feeling well that afternoon. Made it as far as Albert Lea and debated whether I should stop at the emergency room as my guts were in such intense pain. Thought I had an appendicitis. Made it home and within a few minutes the games began. The next day the family called to see what had happened to me and told me the stuff was on the loose in the care center. It was about a week until I felt semi-human.

Lots of stomach flu stuff going around here yet. Hope you're feelin' better TP!  :happy1:
