So far, the roads North of Aitkin are "ok" patchy ice. They all wanted to stop at McDonald's for breakfast, so we'll have to do Deer River some other time.

Yeah, glenns too. It's almost always busy but the service is awesome as is the food. You won't have to wait very long for a seat. We've walked in & wondered where we would sit only to have a table open up right away. Even then you can sit down & if you know what you want, order, eat, be headed back out the door in around a 1/2 hour. I can take that long at McDonalds. It's Sportsman Cafe on the north side of main st. They even have them do the food for 1 of the lake associations annual meetings. Very hard to beat. glenn & I personally recommend any of the omeletes

Roads in Grand Rapids suck! Pure ice all of the way through town. Stopped at the mini mart for diesel.
