trust me it is a blast. But man how many the get. In Minn the limits 3 each. I never keep the spear in the water all the time. It also looked like they weren't fishing to deep. That letting the spear hit bottom is OK with a sandy bottom, not so much with a mucky bottom.

Glenn, you are right, it is a blast.  almost like deer hunting!  you are looking at a big screen TV and have a chance to get a reward too.  and a silt bottom is what we have here and when you hit bottom you are in the dark for awhile, but still fun!!!

I love watching how the fish behave and act in the water........sometimes i'm glad i'm the only one around. people would think i'm off my rocker if they'd hear me laughing in da fishhouse. even gets more exciting when a muskrat decides to visit!!!!!

I had a black lab pop out'a my spearing hole once..... scared the liv'in  :censored: out'a me....

Yup, he was spearing in a hole about a hundred yards away from me when his dog dove in after a fish. I could hear the guy swearing, then a few minutes later, this dog comes up my spearing hole......

my labs would come in, but they did not like a spear hole at all.  muskrats do get the heart pumping good!!!!
