Agree wit Mike?? I'm #7 in the entry thead read it! I been questioning for years why its only nords eyes an bass.When I or anyone can catch flats up to 50+ lbs an channels up yer way on the Red up to 30+ lbs.That garbage walleye is so important to Minnesoters,Tasteless non fighters not worthy of their so called worth!! Dumped in way to many mudhole lakes for feelgood purposes just so some can catch the prize  fish cause they cant catch em in natural lakes!!

Adding a species after the rules were written? That probably takes a lot of us out since we only fish for non garbage fish..

Bass, walleye and northers were the first choice because everyone can fish them. There are only 70+ muskie  lakes and not everyone can travel to fish for them. Where I live I have access to salmon, sturgeon, lake trout, muskie, crappie sm and lg bass, walleye, northern, channel cats blue cats, would it be fair for me to fish all of them when someone down south would have to travel for trout sturgeon, salmon.... Where is a guy from Iowa going to find lake Trout? I have a hard time catching walleye because I don't fish for them. now salmon, pinks and trout, steelhead.... different story

Catfish Catfish Catfish. thats the fun of adventures if a guys dont have driving distance of 20 or less miles we shouldntt hav a particulat species to fish. ive got one of the best catfish fatories an hour away and will take anyone here to fish cats. same with those down south on the minnesota im sure would take me out for flatties, just because the spicies isnt close to a fe shouldnt mean we not include the species.

WE got all them fish right here in MN.IF anyone wants to fish em!! Who can post a sunfish over a LB one of the most common in the state along with many other states then the Crappie. then rough fish anyone fish em?
 Fishin is fishin the people who treat a certain specie as the best an only catch are sure missin out on the outdoorpersons experience of catching  whats available. When a fishing challenge is to include multilple states Then it should include multiple species to give a fair even opportunity.
 In Minnesota we gotz most all of the species an dont need to go to HOTSPOTS THEY are righthere
 Boar I caught channels from The St.Louis near Duluth and Floodwood (cattfish days) up yer way and every flowing river in between The Kettle as My favorite! People treat em as roughfish.Man carp are a blasy on light gear!! Got one 22 lber on the home lake lead me on a hase for 5-600 yds using 6 lb test on a eye rig! chaseing it with the elec motor while I was being spooled!!

I had the opportunity to fish Selkirk years ago for channels, hit a 30 lb channel and me and 2 other guys caught over 700lbs of channels in one day. I see many guys here traveling long distances just to fish, not for the sake of the contest their in, so why should it matter. I'm in it to have fun with great guys. corney even hit the big windy for monster eyes in the winter. lots oguys here do a gather and boat into big fish waters in the summe via rainy lake. what difference is. none. its it fair that corney hits lake winnepeg for 33 inch wallyey and the rest of us cant or wont. I have access to sturgeon, muskie, lakers, if I want to travel. wouldn't bother me a bit. its an adventure to go or fun to watch others here go and catch if I cant.

did not mean to start a nest!  I grew up on the Minn. river south west of Mankato.  fished there and the Blue Earth river as I grew up caught some big cats too!!!  5 Gal. bucket could not really hold them,  sure was fun, and I was even doing catch and release as kid!!!
