I've been killing this stuff for years...
But, I recently found out that it's edible.
Have you heard this or tried it?

I need to Google it so I know exactly what it is.  I just saw on a show a week or so ago they were cooking Hostas.  They just picked them from around the house and I think they were doing mainly the stalks.

Just make sure the insurance policy is updated, and let me know....

Seriously though, it's supposed to have a spinach flavor to it if boiled.

Do you garden?
It's probably the most popular weed that is pulled from every garden.

I've been trying to post a picture of a different weed that I heard was edible but it won't post now! :taz: :taz:tried earlier in the week in the oven thread. Not sure what the hell. Tried sending it to Reb via email and it didn't go through there either.

Anywho this weed posted isn't near as abundant as the one I'm friggin trying to post.

That's what I thought they were HD.  Yes I have lots of them.  I read that the whitesh look they get is actually salty tasting.  Man I am sure curious to try them.  Maybe with a steak tonight.  They pull out real easy.  Glenn try some and get back to us...

i found thousands of Lambs Quarters in my woods.  They are easy to pull up as the roots come out easy.  Kind of a nice green crop that covers areas and I have wished they covered other weeds.  Well HD I PICKED SOME OF THEM......  I just took the top perfect leaves and we are going to cook them tonight with our ribeye....   Nice knowing ya all...   Will hopefully check in later...  If not DO NOT EAT HD's LAMBQUARTERS.   Glenn I wish you would have done this experiment first.

Ok I had the lambs quarters along with onions, mushrooms, and garlic.  Tasted green...  Was good.  Will see if I can get it to post here now on my new computer...   I survived....
