So last night we just went to bed at 9.  Hey I am reading a great book on my Kindle and really like to read for an hour each night.  SO anyway I was just getting into it and the house land line phone rang.  We don't have any phones in the bedroom but the wife can hear everything.  I only hear geese miles away and she can't.  OK sorry back on track here.  I said let it go to message.  Well a couple of minutes later it rings again so I jump up and see if it is something important.  The message is like a groan or mechanical sound something every 3 seconds and didn't stop.  I erased it and before we could get to the bedroom it did it again.  This is the third time.  I did nothing and erased it and it did it again the fourth time.  Then I unplugged the phone  for the night.  The number was 218-410-9552.  A Virginia MN number.  Very weird.

You know what the first thing that entered my mind was Del at Lake Vermillion.  Just cuz Vermillion is a similar word to Virginia.    So is Del some kind of a wacko Rebs?????     :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  Just kidding Delman..

Yup caller ID said out of area and the number above.  I google it as I do every number that I don't recognize.  It said Virginia MN

When I get unwanted calls with a live operator I respond with WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? WHAT THE F@CK YOU WANT? If they don't hang up I go to the redneck answers till I get to the one that finalizes the sale and after everything is said and done I just say I don't want it.

I have security screen and call reject, so I never get that kinda crap. But, every once in a while, one sneaks thru. That's when I go into my middle east Apu voice.."Hello and welcome to my home!" "Many blessings on you and your family..where are you calling from for me?" "I can offer you at this time an extended warranty on your phone"..... :rotflmao:

I just answer "Sam's pizza & bar...can I take your order?"
They usually hang up right away.

just noticed this.  No I am not in virginia, mn. 

You should know that caller-ID is totally unreliable in these days of voice over IP calling.  It is easily spoofed to be anything the caller wants.   They could call reb from resort central or credit services and make it look like the Neighbor Lady....

Ya that's right Del.  I have even had them spoof me by using the Baudette prefix and it is a sales call from who knows where.
