Haven't posted many food pics being on this diet but I'm going to start.  I have had cheating day's and even with those I haven't gained a thing.  So if any of you make some diet type meals post them here.  I'm on a Keto diet so it's no sugar.  In June I weighed in at 245 and today it's 217.  Haven't looked back since.  Make my own bread, deserts ect.  just leaving out surgar.  It can be done.  Just look up Keto and you get the idea.  Yesterday I made roasted chicken wings and zucchini skins [stuffed] on the side.  good luck.

Looks good RH. Good job guys keep it going. In January I was 250lbs  and dropped to 207 but up a little to 212lbs, I cut out the salt. I try to keep my salt intake to less than 1000mg a day, nothing out of a box, can, or jar unless it is listed salt free. Everything is fresh vegies, meat and fish, I also cut out most breads which was the hardest part. The only exercising was riding the bike on the rails to trails.

Way to go on the weight lose.  Coffee there are low carb breads you can make yourself using almond flour and coconut flour.  I'm making a cheese and jalapeno bread tonight.  It's in a baking dish and not like your regular loaf.  Ill post tomorrow to let you know how it turned out.  hey guy's I will still have my cheat nights and post those also.  Don't have to give up everything.  I did stop the beer which was a big part of my gain.  However I have some vodka coctails now with some ICE brand carbonated flavors which works out just fine.  good luck.

Good thread.  I am 63, 5'10 and at 200.  Up from 195 where I plateaued for a long time.  I used to have a sandwich at work at 10 and another around 12 or 1.  Now I have a medium boiled egg at 10 and a sandwich at noonish.  Will see if it helps.  I boil 3 eggs at a time and try to get them so the yolk is a little runny and put them in the frig.  I don't peel them till the day I want them.  I do dust them with Cavenders.  I may just put pepper on them from your info.  That is my coffee break for 3 days.

You can. Avoid the starches and carbs (Not all carbs) and do the protein......meat, fish, veggies, some dairy, lotsa water. Exercise!!! I dropped 27 lbs in like 6 weeks when I starting biking again (like a maniac)  and hit the salads and grilled meat. But, I also walked for 8 hours of my 12 hour shifts, doing about 12-15 miles a day, according to our peds. Then I'd head home, and blast off 12 miles on the bike in under 30 mns as hard and fast as I could.
Now I can go from recliner to 'fridge in just under 30 seconds.  :azn:

Ya the first one was by accident but I liked it and now it is the way to go.  I boil water and then take the cold eggs out of the frig and drop 3 of them in and continue the boil for 9 minutes.  Then run them under cold water and let sit for a few minutes.  Peel one and put in a snack zip bag dusted with pepper....  Put the others with shells still on in a bowl in frig for next couple of days.  Makes my day.

Last night I made loaded cauliflower casserole with jalapeno pan bread on the side using fresh jalapeno's.  Have to say it was very good.  I've been making different stuff almost every day and some recipe's were good and others not so good but that's how you learn.  The jalapeno pan bread was very good and spicy.  Chopped up 4 fresh jalapeno's without the seeds.    The casserole had cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese, cream cheese heavy cream, green onions, bacon, garlic, salt and pepper.  Didn't call for ground beef but I put some in anyway.  All of this low carb, even the bread.  good luck.

Whenever I feel the need to drop a few pounds.  I just increase the bedroom activities with the wife.  Go from once a day to 2 or 3 times a day.  Caution........this could be hazardous on some of you old guys.  ;)

Figured I'd weigh in :rotflmao: :bonk: on dis topic.  I'm 5'11" was 5' 11 1/2" but some of us shrink wit age.  When I got married at 19 I weighed 155 lbs. I reached my full potential yrs. later at 341lbs. Yep that sure is a load! Decided it was taking a toll on my body so after many short term efforts I bounced up and down. Once you reach a certain age and weight, it's harder to depend on many exercise regiments cuz you just ain't got da juice. Not to mention dat everything hurts.

Over dis last year or so I decided I'd like to live a bit longer den I'd anticipated. That's when I decided to admit to myself that 90% of my long list medical problems are attributed to obesity. For me da biggest answer was "PUT DOWN DA FORK !" I've cut way down on salt, diet soda, rarely touch sweets, eat smaller portions and try ta keep busy outside da house. Da neighbors kid me about cutting da lawn every 3 days. (it's a form of exercise fur me). I've still got a long way ta go but I'm now 258 lbs. v/s da 341 lbs.

Keep yer weight down while yer young and you'll have less medical issues when you get old! Once da damage is done to your body when your younger ya can't do much to reverse it when yer old.

Good for you Lee.  That is great, and you must feel better.  My Aunt and Uncle who are not with us anymore both loved to eat and drink and didn't get much exercise anymore and gained lots of weight.  It did them both in.  Diabetes and bad knees and hips etc.  Wonderful people too.  Lot's of fun.  I miss them and try to not get like that.  AND you are so right, as we get older it is just harder to keep it off.  General has a great exercise plan but all that Viagra is expensive.  Maybe I could get a deal if I got it in 5 gallon pails full.   :rotflmao:
