Thinking about trying Sakatah for the opener.  Can anyone tell me anything about this lake near Waterville, Mn.?

fished that area 40 plus years ago, can't tell ya anything today...  check with the local bait shops and get a lake map...

I never even heard of it, and used to fish over in that area!!!!!!!!!!! I found it on DNR lakefinder, just to learn about it...

we fished Tetonka river too, for white(striped) bass, the spring run was a blast!!!

What kinda info you looking for? I havent fished it for 18-20 years,Have been in the campground a few times 5-7 years back.Fished from shore with small kids then.I actually fished canoed an kayaked the whole Cannon river. If I were going to fish from a boat I' stay in the state campground and trailer to Tekonka.

Yeah, I've been told they had winterkill on Sakatah this year.  If we go, it will be Tetonka.

Gunner-thanks for the info.  As things are  turning out, I'll be working opening  weekend, but should make it out shortly thereafter. I think I'll put fresh line on my ice rods, and tune up the auger.  If this crap keeps hanging around  like this, I might need them.
