That looks like a bomb!  Man Jala's are hot enough for me.  SO you do dehydrate them.  I was wondering if anyone did that.  I will next year.  So just cut up and throw in soups???

I set my slicer at 1/4 inch,  and spread them out on the trays.
Anytime I want to add a little heat to anything I'm cooking... I throw a few in.

glenn, its all in experimentatio , mild type of peppers are jalopenos and bannas, they  make a good mix,  generally u will loose a 1/3 or a little more in weight and size thru dehydration.. ive got to lick my ghost peppers now ive got 3 on the bush. pluse frost is coming. got down to 34 last night.

I get a couple small zip lock bags out of it. I don't grind them though.

Walmart or any Mexican grocery has a selection of various types of dried chili peppers.   Chipotles (smoked jalepenos) are good.
