I've dropped everything I possibly can with DirecTV, and I'm still at $74 month. I think they're all hand-in-hand. I bet she could..... :whistling:

That's mom's cable provider & the last time it went up she asked us to look at her bill.  The way that's itemized with all the fees & taxes it's hard to tell what anyone is actually being charged & for what. :tut: :bonk:

We live in the sticks and can't get cable, so we have to deal with Century Dink. They bundle with Direct TV...they kept jacking the price up, you call, they lower it, a few months go by...they jack it up, you call they lower it.

after 5 years, I dropped everything except the internet and locked the price at $45 a month. All we have now is antenna TV. I bought a massive antenna with a booster and mounted it on a 50 foot pole in the field (grounded of course) and get 60 some odd channels. If we want a movie, she has Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.

That's the only way to fly, IMO. Especially for those of us who grew up with an antenna, the antenna rotor, and three channels... ;)

Speaking of antennas.
I have this big 15' foot bast-ar sitting in my back yard I got from a friend and I was going to put up at our camper but it may just be to big.  If anyone wants it for $25 bucks. It's bigger then anyone I've ever saw.

Friend who had it up north went to the Dish, I have not even tried it yet?  I'm just not sure if a 15' X 8' or so big scaffolding above my camper would fly with my camp ground owners?  :tut:

Time to take some action against these companies, instead of just lip service..

Report Blasts Minnesota telecommunications company

Jan 5, 2019 Updated 2 hrs ago

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota regulators say a major telecommunications company has failed to provide "adequate or reliable service" and needs to fix its problems and refund money to some customers.

The Minnesota Department of Commerce report released Friday says Frontier Communications may have violated at least 35 Minnesota laws and regulations, citing shoddy service, lax record-keeping and inadequate investment in its own network.

Frontier said in a statement that that while service problems occasionally arise it "strongly disagrees" with the Commerce Department's findings. The statement said Frontier is an "ethical company committed to our customers and the Minnesota communities we serve."

The investigation was ordered last year by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission after the agency was flooded by complaints from Frontier's patrons. Frontier has about 90,000 mainly rural customers in Minnesota.
