ham bone cooked...…….broth and meat. I always add extra leftover ham
1.....can garbanzo beans
2..... diced potatoes
grated carrots
boil till veggies are done....then ADD
2 polish sausage cut in small pieces
6 slices raw bacon.....cut in small pieces
2.....cups shredded cabbage
I also add onions and celery.

the carrots and cabbage are general measurements, as always I add as I see the need!!!!
cook till done.

maybe its just me, but after I had this soup I wont make the spit pea!!!!!!

the only thing I do is use a butcher shop type polish and not them big brand type. but then again that's just me. those Johnsonville and schweigert types are in my mind disgusting.

reb, I don't think it really matters if the ham is or isn't smoked! :happy1:
