What do you guy's recommend for a good unit that really does the job for trimming lawns, weeds, and also clears brush in a all in one unit.  good luck.

I have had my ECHO for 20+ years, and it still runs strong and always starts with a couple pulls.

I know a few lawn care service owners up here, and that's what they use.

Go with ECHO, Husqvarna, or Stihl, and ya can't go wrong, IMO.

My leaf blower is a big unit with back straps and is a Echo.  Like it a lot.  I also have been looking at  the Husqvarna brush cutters also.  They have the metal round blade that I want for brush.  Say's it can cut up to 2 inch branches.  Echo has it also.  I still have a problem with the bamboo and wild rasberies.  Between cutting them down and spraying them with brush killers I will have better control of my yard.  Thanks, I know you pay more for these models but you get what you pay for.  good luck.

Boar is absolutely right, Stihl is the only one.

We make parts for all weed wackers, and brush cutters.
Sthil, is on the high end. They're quality standards are high and hard to meet. So, you'll pay for that quality.

Echo, has similar quality standards, but does not pass that onto the consumer.

Husqvarna, is a whole different animal....they are making parts for a ton of different things. So they're quality levels vary. However, with that being said.... Husqvarna is going to discontinue the cheaper versions due to the popularity of the electric implements. So, weed wipers and brush cutters will be on the high end as well..or nothing at all.

Just a little food for thought....

I have an Echo like HD. Have also had it for about 20 years. Also have an Echo chainsaw. Both have done a lot of a work and still going strong.

Went today to Meynards which had the worst options.  They didn't even have one that cuts brush.  Home Depot was about the same.  Lowe's had a Husqvarna for $400 which did what I want.  Mn Tool and Equipment had a Honda for the same price and it had a 4 stroke which I like [no mix of oil and gas].  None had a Echo.  So tomorrow I'm going to look at the Honda and if I cant get  saw blade attachment  I will get the one that has one.  good luck.

Thanks Jerkbait.  I appreciate this.  I will check them both out.  Wierd that Lowe's had the Echo leaf blower at the time when I bought it there but there is not one Echo brush cutter.  So I will check these two places out.  Like to shop local.  Thanks again.  good luck.

I took Jerkbaits ideas and went to the places he suggested.  One place [Dougs] had lot's of Echo's but the one I wanted with the double shoulder straps was not in stock and I wanted shoulder straps.  They would of ordered it for me but it would have taken awhile and added shipping cost.  Nice place  though.  So then I went to Minnesota equipment and they only had Stihl models.  They had exactly what I wanted. [$500] for everything including the saw blade.  Does it all.  Grass, weeds, and pretty much all the brush I want to cut.  I wanted a Echo, but Stihl still is a good unit and it comes with a 4 year warrenty.  Pick up tomorrow.  good luck.
