I'll stick with Jalapenos myself.  That is way too hot to make any meal out of.  good luck.

Putting one or two in a big batch of salsa or along with an assortment of other peppers when I make my pepper sauce is how I use them. They do have a great taste but I agree it's hard to get past the burn.

I like ghost peppers in my salsa and pickles, but that is about as far as I go...
I planted some Carolina reapers, and I didn't think they were as hot as the ghost.
But, I heard that it depended on the soil and the amount of rain you get....the dryer the climate, the hotter the pepper.

This year was so wet, that my peppers really didn't do as well as normal.

Those Carolina Reefers are beautiful looking peppers.  NO WAY would I eat one of them.  I like some heat but jalapenos are hot enough for me.

pepper grower in my area claims "reaper" peppers hands down over ghost, why in the world would anyone subject they're a-hole eating these nasties? another pepper lover tells me the "death roll" peppers beat reaper and ghost as hottest, can't imagine eating one of these or any of em.

for chili Ifoung a serano pepper has just enough heat like a jalopolo but the heat does'nt last as long.

Nice looking pepper sauce. I still have a couple years supply of it myself.
The warden and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum on how spicy we like things. The pepper sauce is nice I can put a few drops in my bowl of chili and it tastes just right to me and the undoctored chili is just right for her. I also like a few drops in a roast pork samwich. YUM

You are right Cooperman.  I posted a thread on that jar.  I had 3 slices in my mouth and it didn't take long to know what a mistake that was.  But I also found that it sells pretty good according to the grocery manager at a Cub store I go to.  So good for them but I do like hot stuff but those are over the top.  good luck.

There are 5 or 6 peppers hotter than the Carolina Reaper since that chart came out.
