 Anything but KATCHUP!! ;)   Chili dogs are a fave here so your mixture sounds really good HD. Otherwise just mustard with a little sweet relish sometimes too.

Onions, real sauerkraut (not that Franks crap), relish. Never ketchup unless you’re under 5

Whatya got against 5 year olds & older?  Baseball, hot dogs (with ketchup) apple pie & Chevrolet. No ketchup is anti-american I think.

Good thread.  I am still looking for just a decent hot dog.  I love chili dogs so your thing is perfect to me HD.  I do also love sauerkraut and some catsup to sweeten it up a bit.  I like the ol mustard, ketchup, onions, relish thing too.  OR cheese, chili dogs.   I think I like them all!

I would add a second hot dog, onions and ketchup.

Sorry gents, but ketchup is for french fries (and five year olds IMO). Mustard, onions, and sauerkraut or horseradish go on a GOOD hotdog.  :happy1: :happy1:

The beef hot dogs Kirkland brand from Costco are pretty good if you get a chance to pick some up.     Not the artisanal things from a small market out in the piney woods but good for a mass produced dog.

Ambassador hot dogs are the closest thing to natural casings that we can find. Usually available at glenn's favorite place to shop ;), at least they are in Austin & Grand Rapids.

Ambassadors all the way.....but beef only. Not the regular ones with turkey, chicken and pork. They are mushy. My kids will only eat the ones with beef.

Then I put on ketchup, mustard and raw onions. Just had some for lunch. With homemade salsa and chips.
