cost isn't a factor as long as its resonable, single not much to right off,my gal insulted me when I had question's,just through out a dollar figure what I owed, didn't bother to call me when the news broke about unemployement $$ exempt from taxes up to
$10,200 in 2020,this infomation came from someone here,in the begining my gal was great, reasonable price for a short form of $125 to file but she has early signs of dementia I think? after dealing with my father who has dementia all the begining signs are persent, very argumentive, when question occure, just a piss poor attitude in general so its time to move on she forgot I'm the customer.shoulda moved on long ago but i got lazy and comfortable until now,she pee'd me off.

Same here!! Usually 1040A or EZ for me & with my AGI I can do my own in ~ 45 minutes for nothing online. Been using H & R Block lately but the IRS has Free File too. Many other options out there as well & all you really need is a copy of last year's return to follow.

Thanx for the follow-up guyz, not a do-it-yourself guy, hell my tool box has a roll of duct tape, screw driver and a hammer if that doesn't work I buy new....pretty sure I'll have my crabby tax gal e-file this year and be done with it and her next year.

HD haven't been to st francis in many years, drilled water wells in that area back in the late 70's early 80's as the area was growing leaps and bounds.

Snow1,
You could check out if any AARP sponsored TAX-AIDE sites are still preparing returns in your area. It's been a struggle this year but two of us prepared around 400 returns this year.  This is a free service jointly sponsored by AARP and the IRS.  Maybe check it out for next year. Along with contact issues our biggest problem was the constant rule changing during the filing season. First we had big issues with how to handle the two stimulus payments. Then you remember they threw in a third in early April.  Then the big mess made when in March they exempted $10,200 of unemployment. This problem was compounded by the State of MN who couldn't decide to Tax or not Tax the exempted Federal amount.  This ripples throughout many other programs including FSA, other Stimulus payments etc. Then to top it off, if you received Premium Tax Credits through MNsure health insurance, you were not required to repay any amount that you received over what was allowed.  Of course many returns had been filed prior to these changes being announced or the tax programs getting information from the IRS on how to calculate the new changes.  Fortunately I decided not to file any returns that contained any data impacted by the changes until the dust settled. This took about 3 weeks before the tax programs caught up with the new laws.

Great advice D.E you saved me regarding the tax exempt deal on unemployment,my tax lady didn't bother to tell me,instead gave me a earful as I questioned her for not telling me,she yelled the feds would return my over payment, luckly I didn't pay in early this time, boy that frosted my berries, lost all trust in this old hage, she just got mean and nasty forgetting I'm the customer, but many thanx for your advice in the past and present deadeye.
