WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches in the most persistent lake snows, with storm totals 1 to 2 feet. Local amounts of 2 to 3 feet possible across the Buffalo southtowns, where bands will persist the longest. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph, with near blizzard conditions at times today.

WHERE...Erie, Genesee, and Wyoming counties.

That does sound pretty awful. It would have been 1 fun game to watch though. I love watching those games in the snow.

Yes it would have been a blast to watch.  I remember when they used brooms etc to keep the 5 yard lines cleaned up some.

They were advertising for help shoveling snow from the seats in the stadium this morning, $20/hr for 4 hr shifts. Food & frequent breaks included. There's been a travel ban for empty trucks & all tandem trucks in Eerie county since 9 am yday & a full travel ban in place overnight just so they could move the snow easier. They activated 100 of the NY National Guard to help too.
