I went and checked some ice in East Central....
Most lakes have 3/4" on them.
West Rush had some hard core waterfowler's out breaking ice at the landing....oh well...

I monitor St. Olaf almost daily. Last week before the recent warm up, there was skim ice on the entire thing. The geese & ducks were able to swim around in spots where the wind had opened it up again. A few days ago there was a small shelf left in the NW corner. As of the last several days, nada. Next week sounds like a change coming with highs in the upper 20's and lows in the mid to low teens.

1 1/2" on West Rush, 1 3/4" on East Rush, 2 1/4" on Lori, 2" on Lewis.

Seems like we lost some, but with the temps this coming week...we should gain some.

Didn’t get out on the ice, but saw several people 100 yards from shore fishing and ice skating. Hopefully the coming snow won’t slow down the freeze too much. East of Marcell about -5 miles. And just skittle south.

Typo, Merc. Should have said 15 miles, not 5. Near Wabana.

Car driven onto Lake Bemidji this morning from Northwoods access.  Made it out about a hundred yards before going through the ice.
Please make sure you know what you're doing when you venture out on the lakes.
Our recommendation is at least 8 to 12 inches of good clear ice to support a car or small truck.
