Got a few.....
I went out yesterday evening to test the new runners and maybe catch a few.

Sled performed well, and the fish were bitting.  :fishing:

You read my mind HD. I also took advantage of a beautiful late December day. I spent the day fishing for nords and bass while my brother targeted sunfish and crappies.  We both did well as the fish cooperated nicely.  My brother caught many nice sunfish and crappie while I was kept busy chasing flags. I never got around to setting up my house but sunshine and little wind made for very nice outside fishing. I kept bumping up my MNO ICE fish throughout the day and capped it with a nice one just as I was pulling up my lines for the day.

what was the ice like HD?? i heard someone say all the slush was gone in northern minnesota but not sure i'm buying it!!!!1

Ice is getting sketchy on the edges. But if you can get on, we still have 20-24 inches of good ice.

Got out Saturday and got our limit of 8 plus inchers.  Weighed the biggest and it was .74 pounds.  Might get out this Saturday if the shoreline holds up.

Shoreline held up.   Definitely my last time on the ice until next winter.  Still had 18 inches of ice.  We drilled a few holes halfway through and used them for live wells as they filled with water almost as fast as we pulled the auger out.  Bite was a little slower than last week but the fish averaged larger.  Was a beautiful morning to be out fishing.
