SO Valentines Day is coming soon.  Do you guys get your wives anything for it?  I am pretty proud of myself.  Since I am taking that CC class whenever it takes place I thought I should buy a new gun for it if it is alright with Glenn.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:   SO I had to fill out a permit to purchase at the Sheriffs Office to get the wife's present.   :rotflmao:  She is one lucky gal.  She is getting a Ruger SR22.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  Cool as heck handgun.  I already have it reserved here in town at the sporting goods store.  Outdoors Again.  Hopefully the permit comes back in time.   :sleazy:

That SR22 is a fun gun to shoot.  Pretty good ergonomics, as I recall.

Geez...  Is .22 ammo getting hard to find again?  I wouldn't put it past some retailers to keep stock in the back to make it look like supply is lower than it is.

:sleazy: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: it's all right by me LPS.  :rotflmao: hope she likes shooting it  :tut: :smoking:

Snow, I wandered through Scheels the other day they had all different kinds of bullets, plenty of 22 shells.

One time I bought my wife a minkota anchor mate cause she kept whining about pulling up the boat anchor. I thought I was doing her a huge favor, but I got the ole eye roll outta the deal. :pouty:

JB, we don't either. Valentine's day is a Hallmark holiday,  :pouty: I may take her out to eat at a place of her choosing, but it won't be the day of.  We don't exchange Christmas gifts either.

We don't actually do much except enjoy being with each other.  We will buy some chocolates or something else we are craving to eat or drink and just enjoy it.  That is a sweet looking present you got your wife Markn.  LOL  Snow the store up here has lots of .22 shells and most other ammo now too.  I have a brick or two of different brands of .22 shells and he said this gun will handle all kinds just great.  So I need to shoot em up.

You boys and yer divorces. Had too many ringside seats to think it'd be worthwhile at this point. Sorta like my old farm equipment. As flashy and nice looking as that new paint is, it usually comes at one helluva cost. And ya still gotta get rid of the old stuff!  :doah: Hey I know, I'll get a 186 Hydro for her!  :happy1:

I usually get her a bottle of something she likes if it's getting low in the liquor cabinet (Pendleton looks like it's running on fumes) along with some chocolates. I usually wind up with chocolate & a bottle a of upper crust gin. I know. Odd. If the lambing isn't going too hot and heavy I'll grill something as long as the weather isn't too brutal. Otherwise we wait until there's a lull in the action and go to The Willows or someplace we like but haven't been to for a while.

Good to know. Practically been on a dead run thru FF the last umpteen times so haven't looked. Wifey can load me up with my favorite calibers.  :happy1:

Crazy how things change. Shooting leagues back in the day it was 4 buck's for ammo and 4 buck's per round, 16 buck's total for 2 rounds, and I thought that was high..

Thanx markn....that's just robberery,I'm sittin on 10 flats of target AA's FROM  few years ago when I had a pallet dropped off at my home, price was $4.55/box,,practice shells whether top gun, estate, rio $30/flat,years back at the minnesota state trap shoot we were buying rio's for $28/flat,my days shooting registerd my goto for score was federal gold metal paper hulls, both for performance and the smell of the spent cartridge, loved the smell of those spent paper hulls and the scores, paid $5/box,$50 well spent per flat.

looks like I'll find a new hobby at these prices, yikes!

Snow, I think this is something we will have to get used to if we want to keep shooting trap, skeet sporting clays or anything for that matter. I'm seeing more ammo on the shelves here locally. No 6.5 or 17's, but a lot of other calibers.  :happy1: :happy1:

Looks like the manufacturers got what they wanted. People willing to pay double just to get it.

Hoarders with deep pockets will eventually have all they want at the inflated prices.

Common folk will continue to pay they high prices to get what they need, but probably won't shoot as much recreationally.

Eventually inventory will rise and prices will come down a bit.  But I doubt that we will ever see pre-pandemic pricing.

All the manufactures will soon be switching back to making government ammo. Looks like we may have another shooting war in Europe around the corner. Bbuy your Haliburton stock now.

markn you said winchester AA's were $10.49/box,did you mean you forgot what remington ammo was?,never shot remington but guyz shooting from the fence sure liked the nitro's.

I'm told  that winchester backed off target ammo since last year as the profit margin was so weak/low,maybe not now at these current prices.

Yea I forgot the price of the Remingtons. They’re all pretty close for me as far as performance goes, but my Beretta loves federal one and a eight once the best. :happy1: :happy1:
